(1) There are some mis-guided so-called christians who try to change the 6 days to 6,000 years.

This is counter-productive analysis & true christians must not try to re-interpret the Bible just because Modern Science talks about life on Earth being 400 million years & Dinosaurs living some 165 million years before man appeared on Earth.

If God said it was 6 days , then its 6 days, no need to re-interpret the 6 days to 6,000 years. Thats just sheer non-sense. Anyways even 6,000 years does not explain the 165 million year gap between Dinosaurs & Mammals.

If you do not believe the word of God, then so be it. But you hath no authority to twist the words & make 6 days to 6,000 years ........... Anyways has anyone seen a dinosaur ...... NO .... well then they dont exist, its all guess work.

(2) The first man & woman were Adam & Eve. Maybe the first few generations required incest as a necessary means to kick-start the human race. However God did send Jesus to inform us that in the modern age, incest is wrong.

(3) Noahs Ark was 10 times bigger than the biggest ship today. It was designed to accomodate the maximum possible inhabitants. In the early days there were only a few thousand species & after the flood they evolved into many different & new species.

The bible gives tow contradicting stories about the creation of the world, one of which has the animals being created first, then an unspecified number of humans at the same time; the second has one man (Adam), then all the animals, then one woman (Eve). Go back and read this; it is Genesis Chapters 1 and 2.
Noah's ark is clearly impossible. The bible gives specific dimensions for the ark; it is 151,140 ft sq. split into three levels (gen 6:14-15) (do the math and remember that a cubit is the length from the elbow to the tip of the middle finger, defined today as 18-22". I used 22 just to be extra fair.) On the boat were 8 people(6:18), two of every animal (6:19) plus "seven pairs of all clean animals...and a pair of the animals that are not clean...and seven pairs of the birds of the air also" (7:2-3), and "every kind of food that is eaten" (6:21). On this ark they spent one year, one month and ten days (7:11/8:13-14). It took Noah less than one hundred years to build the massive ship (5:32/7:6), and he was 601 when they exited the ark (8:13). He died at the age of 950 (9:29), or 951 (8:13/9:28) if you ignore the shoddy math of 9:29.

You are correct that fish and mammals would not need to be in the ark. But read it again; the "two of every animal" is a common misconception; it is really 4 or 16 of every animal, 8 people and their food (which probably included additional animals.

well mad max I don't want your mad max to be ignorant as are the heathen of the fact that a 1,000 of mans time is just one "day" to the lord . And one "day" of the lord is a 1,000 years to man. 2nd Peter 3;8. Now that gives new meaning to your question that the world was created it 6 "days". and mad max when Cain was being made to leave the garden of Eden he complained to god that everybody he ran into would try to kill him because he murdered Abel. Who is the everybody he is talking about? It also says that god created man on the sixth "day" . On the seventh "day" he rested. After the seventh "day" he created Adam and eve. That gave the people he created on the sixth "day" some 2000 years to be fruitful and multiply before Adam and eve were even on the seen. There was no incest involved because it is written that Cain went to a town called Nod,and took a wife named Lilith from the sixth day creation. And as far as the arc etc. You first must understand that although the flood was huge it still was regional . not worldwide. although there was global flooding some 25000 yrs ago. Now considering the flood was regional the only animals brought onto the arc were the ones indigenous to that area. So mad max i realize you don't care probably but i thought i would clear it up anyway. Mad max please have yourself a god night. oops Freudian slip there. mad max did Jen actually answer any of your questions? If so it is waayy over my head.

The day God is working in already exist when he made times and seasons for plant life and that is the time we identify with, Gen. 2:2,4; In day seven for God it does not say and the evening and the morning was day seven and all was good, because it is not, ALL IS LOST FROM EDEN AND MUST BE SAVED, THE LAST DAY of day seven with God and Christ is Rev.20:1-6,12,13;
1000 years, and 6000 is before that and time for Adam, Eve and Satan in day six is before that, Heb.4:1-12; We are now at 6,073 as LOST to SAVED is all
the time given in the bible. We are 2613 after Babylon Empire #3, and 2007 after Jesus was in Rome Empire #6.
God gives us all time but day and hour. He gives the complete Genealogy of Jesus Matt.1:1-17; and at 3460 years only the last 14 generations remain to
come through the 4th Empire where Cyrus is, and all are familiar with Greece that began 336 BC. when the O.T. after 1110 years, ends 443 BC.

Wow! I read your answers, boy are people just guessing. Read 2Peter 3:8 and you will see that in our time it was 6 thousand years. Make a little sense now. Yes and we all know that there are fish that live in both waters. As for the ark, the dimensions are listed in the bible. Genesis 6:14-17

There is nothing wrong with world being created in six days. It could have potentially occurred in such a manner. However reason and modern science would lead us to believe differently. Rather than believing so deeply in Creationism, I would ask you to question your strict fundamentalist interpretation of Scripture.

Taken literally, the Creation stories implode within themselves. Leaving aside the physical improbability, it is stated in Scripture that God creates the world in 6 days, yet it isn't until the fourth day that God creates the Sun and the Moon.

"God made the two great lights, the greater one to govern the day, and the lesser one to govern the night; and he made the stars.

God set them in the dome of the sky, to shed light upon the earth, to govern the day and the night, and to separate the light from the darkness. God saw how good it was.

Evening came, and morning followed--the fourth day." (Genesis 1: 16 - 19)

Without the Sun, morning, evening, and night are impossible on Earth, yet they are referenced in the past three days. We measure our own day according to the rotation of the Earth in reference to the Sun. How then can days exist prior to the existence of the Sun? Taken literally it is impossible.

Rather than reading literally, why not read contextually, taking into account the historical and social context of which God is revealing his Word.

"I am the way, the truth, and the life" (John 14:6)

God being truth cannot be opposed to the truth which is discovered in science. But rather science works through God, having its existence in God.

I challenge you to explain why a contextual interpretation of the Bible is wrong.

You must have missed science class in grade school, there are far more mammals, reptiles insects and birds than would fit in any structure on this planet. Well, perhaps if it were the size or SOUTHEAST AMERICA. Tell me, how much thought have you acutally put into the bible? If you can't question any of it, the you are insulting the fabric of it. You need to open you head to what may or may not be in the world. And one more thing.

Are you...promoting...incest?

Faith is blind belief in nonsense, ignorant of factual evidence of science. Faith is for ignorant simpletons. Genesis is only ancient Hebrew poetry passed down through memorized, unwritten word of mouth for thousands of years and is NOT to be taken literally. It is only in very recent times (relative to history) that most people have had opportunity to become literate and able to break away from religious government controlling their every thought.

No, none of that is correct. The fish would all die, because some of them are saltwater only and some are freshwater only, plus there is not enough water on earth to cover it all.

Well there is the incest question, however god hadn't forbid it yet. Maybe the genetic mutation factor wasn't "placed in man from god" yet (that'll really bring alot of heat from the "bio" types, but im speaking totally hypothetically)He did say to grow in multitudes. My question is , after Cain and Abel, where did all these wives spring out from?
