No.

Sodium goes away by excretion either by sweat or urine.

But re-absorption occurs, high sodium diet leads to high water retention.

^_^ good luck

It does not remain in the body. You eat processed foods that have salt in them.Look at the nutrition information on every package and can. You'll be surprised at how much sodium these foods contain. Drink more water. Don't use packaged soups or eat out. Cook your own food from raw ingredients, fresh vegetables. Don't add salt when you cook or eat. Try that for two weeks, and your level will go down. It takes time for the kidneys to filter out the sodium, You need some but too much will cause complications like kidney failure and hypertension.

many foods contain sodium. for example, junk foods. maybe you eat too much junk food. sodium doesn't only comes from salt. Catsup is also rich in sodium. sodium can be excreted out through your body normally by urinating. the normal level of sodium that should be in your body is 135-145 mg/dL.

if you really want to get rid of those extra soium, i sugest you ask a prescription on thiazide diuretics, loop diuretics, or potassium-sparring diuretic. and if your going to take one, drink plenty of water.

the natural way of limiting sodium in the body is to monitor the food you eat. because sodium can cause hypertension, fluid retention, or worse, a congestive heart failure.

Sodium is also found in many convenience and fast foods, not only in a salt shaker. If you eat lots of crisps, luncheon meat, etc. you are consuming sodium. No it does not stay in your body permanently.
