Do you really really expect an answer? You're asking THEE question of the ages and nobody has an answer, only speculation. There's no proof that there is actually a God, a Jesus, a Mary and all the rest of the illuminaries. It's my understanding that back in the unimaginable times thousands of years ago, the church leaders in Rome (Catholics) had to come up with a way to get more people into church services so they rewrote the Bible to their specs. They (I don't know, whoever) left out a lot of important information the church refuses to give up to this day but they left in God's words...an entity will revise My Book and rearrange My weekly schedule to suit their own needs. His day of rest is quietly known to be Saturday...the noisest day of the week and Sunday is actually God's Monday! Sometimes though, I wonder if God, being as old as He must be, is really a computer now, having replaced His human parts with whatever hightech we won't know about for many more millineum, or is He as close as the nearest corridor, and just as young and beautiful as He wants to be because that's the way it is in heaven. Who knows. Can only speculate and look for signs.
