i recieved one from a friend one day but that was a comical apron that was used for BBqing. and it recieved a lot of laughs at bbqs.....but just to buy siome an apron could be sending out a message that they are messy when cooking ....a nice cook book would be better or even a gift certificate would work...

an apron is probably the most lousy gift a person can give...it's like saying here be my nerd, oh and by the way I didn't really think about you when I got you this thing, I picked it up at the local hardware store while I was thinking about making you repaint the house! Come on I think you can choose a better gift. Heck anyone can choose a better gift...However if you got it from your grandmother then well...only wear it when you are cooking for her, but when is that really going to happen?

I love getting aprons! Especially if they are from a special place. I have an American flag (my sons sent me)one that I wear here in Switzerland when I BBQ. Makes me feel I'm home. I bought them ones in France they can wear when I see them next! They are great for BBQ'ing because the sauces are always messy! But Yummy!

Most people who like to cook would appreciate an apron...add some spices and cooking utensils (grill set, or mixing spoons) and maybe a cookbook and you have an awesome themed gift my friend.

NO WAY! I would say thank you politely but I would think it very offensive and cheap and nasty, even if it's an expensive Chanel one (which I did receive once and immediately gave away). If you are giving a present to please, no apron. OK
