I mean does it mean the guy likes her enough to give her his jacket and leave himself to freeze?
is it just manners or does that mean the guy is somewhat interested in her?
cause i dont think a guy who dislikes a girl would offer her his jacket if she were cold
ya know?

It's definitely a sign of affection. But not necessarily romantic intent. She could be his friend. If the guy is really chivalrous, he may even lend a jacket to someone he barely knows.

But for the most part it would imply either he's interested in her, or that she is already his friend.

It all depends on how it was offered to you. In most cases it is that the man has very good manners and nothing more. You are right in the thought that a guy wouldn't give his coat to a women he didn't like.-L

Unless you are talking about a young guy(probably below 20) who does it to impress, most men would do it as a kind gesture.

If the guy in question is young as mentioned, he probably likes you. But if he is older, most guys would do it because it is only the right thing to do.

Any gentleman would do that for a girl whether he is interested in her or not, unless he seriously dislikes her or if she is hideous.

Naw. It means he really like you. No guy is gonna freeze over a chick he doesn't like, not in this era anyway.

It basically means that Chivalry still exists and that some boys/men can be great gentlemen.

maybe he is just being nice... or he wants his jacket to smell like her... or he fancies her and wants her to realise what a great guy he is... :D
