Its impossible to have a friend that is a girl unless in fact the girl acts like a guy. Girls are only good for relationships and sex.

just give your short intro and try to know her likes and dislikes. don't talk about sex until and unless you don't know her very nicely.
discuss about your and her life plans career etc this shows that you are concerned towards her and obviously she would be interested in you.

simple just communicate with her & get to know her better if you like the person she is & she accepts you for who you are then there is potential that she could be your girlfriend, but the trick is not to rush things.............just be patient!
