I read a lot. I watch a lot of documentaries. I'd still deem myself stupid.

Is there a cure?

Don't limit yourself to certain reading materials. Read the newspaper, Readers Digest, News Week, People Magazine, and etc. Watch TV shows like CNN, Jeopardy,Do you want to be a Millionaire, Are you smarter than a fifth grader, Oprah, Disney channel and etc. The main thing is to widen your knowlege on a lot of subjects.

I don't think "stupidity" is what you need a cure for, but rather insecurities. Based on your writing, it is obvious that you read a lot. I've looked at some of your other questions; your spelling and grammar are good...

I think the word stupid is just demeeing and demoralizing. You need to learn to be more confident. Stupid, in my opinion, is not one's ability to learn academically, or even apply it. Stupid is just a mean word to make people feel bad about themselves. We all do silly things and make mistakes.
