Ok I understand your concern, and the answer is genetics. It really depends on your genetics. People of African descent do not grow hair much past their shoulders, only if their multi-racial. The reason being is because for many years Africans lived in a very hot region of the world, so naturally the bodies of such people evolved to adapt to the environment. And whats the worst thing that could happen to a person in scorching heat, maybe for them to have alot of hair. Hopefully this answers your question. Bye.

Genetics will determine how long your hair can grow. However if you have a healthy lifestyle you can improve the quality of you hair and perhaps grow a litlle below your shoulders. Here are some hair growing tips:

Eliminate or cut back on smoking, caffeine and carbonated sodas which weaken the body and block maximum hair growing potential.
Eat a healthy diet. Avoid foods that are high in sugar or fat.
Treat your hair like a piece of fine old lace. Treat it carefully avoiding any unnecessary brushing, combing or handling.
Avoid use of hot water, hot blow dryers or other hair care tools that may stress the hair.
Have a weekly scalp massage to provide stimulation to the hair follicles.
Do a series of ongoing hot oil treatments to protect the hair's shaft.
Have regular trims to eliminate split ends and allow the hair to look and feel healthier.
Get plenty of rest and sleep to allow your body to grow hair

Hair growth is something that will happen regardless....keeping the HAIR on your head is really your issue...as for this delimina, try keeping it trimed, condition, free of chemicals and maintain a healthy scalp

Your hair maybe growing but breaking off. Stop the breakage and you will achieve length.

do you have curly hair? or straight hair? whatever, measure length of hair while it is still wet. hair grows in length naturally. we do not notice it cuz we see it everyday. if you like, you can take in vitamin b supplements.
