Generally Blood Glucose levels, HDL, and LDL are tested under fasting conditions. This is because new food coming into your system tend to skew things as far as how your body is doing as a baseline. For instance, eating a cheeseburger right before going to get the blood drawn for the test will make it look like you are going to die of a coronary with 24 hours. Heh, not really, but it will give you very high abnormal results. Same goes for glucose. Sodas, breads and carbs of all sorts will jack with your blood glucose levels.
