Can you die from over breathing?

I think a person could die from hyperventilating if it wasn't stopped soon enough???

It is called hyperventilation. A person would pass out.
I have never heard of anyone dying from hyperventilation.

no, just pass out, then your automatic systems go into effect and you breathe normally.
