in other words, he's obviously being easy himself, if he will just go with any easy girl. So why is it ok for him to be easy, and yet he wants a woman who isn't?

As soon as you have sex in a relationship everything changes. If it only takes a man so many hours or days to get a women into the sack then the relationship never grew before this change.
The longer a relationship can grow without sex the stronger it can be after you finally have sex. This is something guys understand subconsiously if not consiously and seek out the "Good Girl" people have been refering too.
Its not about good or not. Its about how well you get along without sex. The sexual part of relationships fades or becomes less important. If you don't have anything but sex then when thats over its over. If you give it up early the guy will lose interest and move on even if the sex is spectactular.
When the guy gets a girl in the sack and the relationship changes, there is nothing in that realationship other than the sex because they didn't allow themselves to grow together first. The girl doesn't have to be a "Good Girl" like everyone is talking about. Easy girls lose out in the long run on guys simply because they didn't offer much before the relationship changed.

That's the wonderful double-standard that runs our society.
If a guy is sleeping around, he's not being "easy" by society's standards he's just being a guy.
Girls who are "hard-to-get" (I will assume you mean good-girls), make better wives and mothers. If a guy is looking to settle down, he wants someone who is steady and reliable, who could be a good partner in a marriage.
Good-girls, also often have a Christian background/upbringing. Even men outside the church will be drawn to this aspect.

If the girl is "easy" she probably is promiscuous and the man who is looking for a wife, a mate,someone to share life with and trust he wants to be confident that she'll be his only (even if he keeps others on the side for casual "fun".)

Hey, life isn't fair / doesn't makes sense. That's just the way it is! They want a "prize" and an easy woman is not a prize. They want someone respected, who respects herself and respects him, and will be a good mother. He does not want to be embarrassed or hurt by an easy woman.

1. because he wants to think he wont cheat on him. A Girl who is easy is more likely to.
2. he wants to think he had to work to get this girl and that she isnt with him just because she is easy.

This has been the way society is for many generations. It is ok for men to sleep around but not for women. For whatever reason, women are held to a higher moral standard.

It's not okay. I have a ex friend like that. He's a slut but he doesn't want to have sex with a slut, he likes classy, pretty girls. So instead of being with someone like himself (skanky and ugly), he lies to girls to get them in bed. Well he used to. All of the nice, pretty girls figured out his game and ditched him. So now he just stole my best friend's ugly bitchy trampy girlfriend and has sex with her all the time. Luckily it wasn't big of a loss for my friend to recover from, but geez. The nerve of him. Anyways my point: It's not okay for guys to be like that ever. Double standards are DEAD.

men view women who are easy not respectable-they think if you give it up to them so easily you are easy. men are a double standard.

They have their fun in 'bed' and take home the carefull woman
You wouldn't take home a slut would you?
You would take the one that will be good to the family even if you do cheat on them.(Many bad men)
