Is Sylvia Brown really a psychic?

I watch Sylvia Brown on Montell's show sometimes but I don't know if she really is psychic..Or she talks about spirit guides, and how we all have past lives...Is this true? What do u guys think?

I have seen Sylvia Browne live a few times and have been lucky enough to get to ask her a question in person. I asked her about my brother who is on the other side and she described him to me in full detail so I believe that she was able to see him. She is truly psychic and has plenty of insight into the afterlife. Try to read one of her hundreds of books she has written. Wouldn't it comfort you to know that there is a perfect home created by God for you and your loved ones to exist in after surviving so many years in this dangerous, scary hell of world we live in? Wouldn't it make you feel better to believe that there is a spirit guide that is looking out for your best interest while your here? I have read most of her books and I know she comes from a long line of psychics and she has a lot of knowledge about the afterlife and also about life in general.. I think lots about Sylvia actually. In my not so humble opinion, I believe she had a highly developed skill, both a curse and a blessing.

The first psychic I ever studied was Gerard Croiset a famous Dutchman. In the '60's he said he never made money on his skills because it is wrong to profit from such gifts. Over the years I have known many very powerful psychics but not one of them every used their skills to make a penny. I get the feeling that greed is the reason Sylvia is not so bright and clean any more.

I believed that Sylvia was the real deal. Her insight and other worldly views were a gift to the people even if they do pay for her books and speeches. I feel she has killed her gift through abuse and is not the same woman who so influenced me a decade ago. She is different now. Jaded and unclean. She has caused a fair bit of pain along the way.

Sylvia writing gift, I had long thought, is her mazing ability to take what has formerly been inexplicable, and put it into language that anyone can understand. She is respectful of all others and their belief systems. Now I have found passages which are very obviously plagiarized by other writers! Suddenly she does not seem so respectful!

I know that it was her words, plagiarized or not, that helped me through the spiritual crisis I suffered after the suicide of my beloved fiance. In helping me understand death better, her books helped me find hope and see a future. If for no other reason, she is the real deal to me. At that time, when I needed, the words were there. When you are grabbing for a life raft, you take the one that keeps you afloat.

As with everything else today, one reads her work with an open mind and takes in what one is ready to accept and rejects that which makes one uncomfortable within. I take everything I read with a grain of salt, but I found that much of what she espouses is true and real for any and all who are open minded to the world of the invisible. Before reading her books I had 35+ years of study in death, reincarnation and other things. I found her take on all related fields were pretty accurate.

I have seen examples of plagiarism in her books. This saddens me. She has gotten greedy. Perhaps that is why now, when she comes on to Montel I leave. Perhaps that is why I am considering writing Montel and asking him to address this issue. Somehow I don't think he will.

I am disappointed in Sylvia. She knows what is being said and it is up to her to speak the truth to her fans. She should either deny or prove herself. But in my heart of heart, I think the lure of Lucifer's coin has taken her over.

I live near where she has her practice and church. My boyfriend's sister went to her - and Sylvia Brown told her when she'd have a baby and she was right. I've read a couple of her books. I do think that SHE believes that she's psychic - and that she has a Spirit Guide - and that she's on her last life here on earth. I think she really believes all that. So it's true for her. If others want to believe in her ability - then it's true for them too. I, personally, would not pay her money to tell me anything.

I believe that she does have a certain amount of psychic power, because she's able to know things about people that she couldn't possibly have known -- considering of course, that the circumstances presented to us are truthful.

However, I think all that talk about past lives and spirit guides and the different levels of the afterlife is all just something to sell books. There's only so long you can make predictions for people that the rest of us have no way of seeing whether they come true before we start to lose interest. She has to keep people handing over their paychecks. Its sad, too, because its not like the woman doesn't already have more money then God.

Ithink shes real, to an extent. I think shes very spiritual and does have an open door to the outherside, I just dont think that shes 100% accurate all of the time. part of it is probably for show business. I do however beleive shes about 70% accurate. Ive always thought that Montel should bring back people that have asked he questions, to see if her predictions have come true. I guess even then, they could pay people to say yes. well I do get a feeling that she has a gift, its just slightly over exagerated.

hmmm i think shes psychic, or clairvoyant...because there is a difference between all those types of things. I think sylvia brown is real, but I am sure you need to read one of her books before you can make that decision. I think we have spirit guides or angels or whatever you belief....and maybe some people have past lives while other dont...I heard we are all born with psychic abilities as children but societal norms and the need to not be weird is what makes them go away...honestly i do think shes real but you really dont see her advertised

Usually a psychic of some sort, usually claim they have "spiritual guides" this only mean that their spiritual guides are evil spirits. this is the reason why they can tell you what you did in the past but can never tell the future. their "spiritual guides" which are evil spirits/demons are basically had been informed with the demon/evil spirit that knew you from the get go. we all have our own little guardian angel to protect us from the evil spirit assigned to keep us from the truth. This evil spirit is the one that is telling the evil spirit of the psychic what happened to you in the past. So when you say if she is a real psychic. I'd say she is a pawn of the devil.

There are no demons or devils... Just like anything else, you have to believe what you can, and through away the rest! If you read her books, she is a really swell old lady. The public psychic version of her is questionable...

OMG i'm enthusiastic approximately Derren Brown and that i thoroughly accept as true with you!! i think of it rather is because of the fact there are too many pessimistic people around and all they choose to do is ***** approximately how he's con artist blah blah blah. people do in basic terms not being fooled, which he does...yet I in basic terms think of he's a real legend. have you ever examine any of his books?! they are so good...

I truly believe in karma-what goes around comes around-so what about the unfair and injustice we see all the time on earth? That question led me to truly believe in reincarnation....and many other things. I think we are all insightful, intuitive, and able to see beyond the veil...it's depth comes in degrees though...some more so than others.... in one area...another more so, in yet, another area...everyone is different...we all have that in comon.
