TELL YOUR PARENTS THE TRUTH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
NOTHING, I REPEAT NOTHING, IS WORTH KILLING YOURSELF OVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Your parents love you and would rather know that you aren't really doing whatever your major than have you dead, gone from this earth while they live broken hearted every day for the rest of their lives.
Next, find something that you love doing, something you could do for hours. That could likely be your choice career!
Talk with a counselor about your depression problem and other problems you may have, or even talk to a parent .
Find a career counselor and take a career interest inventory test to see what career might be suited for you. It's ok to change your major. Sometimes you have to follow your heart. Trust me, I'm only a college sophomore and I've said I'm going to do everything from a to z.
Most importantly, build yourself a support group of friends that would do anything for you and keep confidential information that way.
You might also see about finding a spiritual group somewhere, in whatever religion you might be or have.
Remember that you are loved unconditonally by your parents, and no matter where you go, someone cares. Honestly, even these folks that are answering your question care!

Good luck in getting everything worked out. As the Aussies say, "No, worries, mate!!"

Be up front with your parents. They may be upset with you for a bit, but you'll be happier in the end, and maybe you can start in a career that you are good at. And suicide isn't the answer for anything. Think how your parents would feel then. I'm sure they love you alot and you would hurt them more than you could imagine if you did anything of the sort.
If you choose to stay in the field you are in, ask for some help in the classes you are having problems with. There are lots of teachers that are willing to share their time to help their students.

Tell your parents exactly what you have explained here. More than likely they will understand why you have been living this charade, but perhaps not why you waited until now to tell them.

You are holding this deep within you and getting it out into the open is going to release alot of this pent-up anxiety. Seek out a tutor to help you learn what you need to know, if you're still interested in this line of work.

Most important: please live for yourself. Your parents are living vicariously through you because they want the best for you. However, that does not mean that's what's meant to be for you. Do work that you enjoy and if you have to go back to school or not, please begin your new journey right away.

But do seek help ASAP if you are feeling suicidal. Call the Suicidal Hotline (1-800-hot-line).

Good luck to you.

It's simple! Choose a new career path. Electrical engineering is boring, it's definitely not worth killing yourself over. But here's the plan: First, tell your parents what happened. They're parents. They love you no matter what. Then find another college doing something else that you're good at and enjoy. Maybe get involved in a church, too, if you aren't. You sound like you could use some spiritual uplifting.

Thank god you at least have an education. Get over it and in the mean Time get help, help and more help. The ones who will suffer are your parents. Now you have lied to them so you must be caring and loving of your parents, right? Of course, you know it is true but your mind is not letting go of the guilt and of the anger. Who is in control of your mind? Seek the answer now and stay alive and healthy. The world is more important and so are you and please keep up the good work!

Sit your parents down and explain that you lied because you felt like a failure and you felt like it would hurt them and they would be disappointed in you and then appoligize to them for lying to them and hurting them let them know you reaize your lie hurt them more than they truth would have. They are your parents and they love you so much come clean with them and you will feel the depression probley will lift off your shoulders.I have lost a child to suicide any believe me you dont want to do that to them the pain will never go away they can take anything but that. Please dont even think about suicide its not a way out just talk to them please.

Relax.

Take a look and decide for yourself what you want to do with your life. If you want to continue in enginering, then take a deep breath and dive into again, no matter how long it takes.

However if there's another calling for you, JUMP ON IT! I understand you don't want to disapoint your parents, but you have do things for yourself sometimes. It is not worth killing yourself over.

We only get one shot at life, so just relax and be a little selfish. Do something for yourself. Start over. You're still young.

lol my friend is in your same position. Just study study study. Nothing is out of your reach when you put your mind to it. Don't go out as much and hit those books. Ask your friends to help you and tell them how important to you passing this is. I'm sure with support from your friends you will be able to pass those 2 exams....good luck
