I have fruits everyday after lunch and dinner but yesterday my friend who is also a doctor told me that we should never have fruits after any meal as it causes fermentation. Is it true?

Eat a balanced diet and enjoy your fruit. That doctor friend of your needs to go back to medical school and study nutrition again.

You should eat fruit before rather than after a meal as it digests quicker than other foods. If you eat it after a meal you may experience some discomfort - eg heartburn/constipation

Taking fruits after meal is not bad. In earlier days people use to take it after meal. It is advisable to take it. Not harmful.

Your doctor is ill-informed. Tell him the French--reknown for their good eating and healthy habits--are especially fond of fresh fruit for dessert and many live to a ripe old age. What does doctor no suggest-- a banana split?

You can enjoy your fruits after your meal. There is no problem. In fact it is good for your teeth.

this is the chart i follow

Children 2-3 years old 1 cup**
4-8 years old 1 to 1 ½ cups**

Girls 9-13 years old 1 ½ cups**
14-18 years old 1 ½ cups**


Boys 9-13 years old 1 ½ cups**
14-18 years old 2 cups**

Women 19-30 years old 2 cups**
31-50 years old 1 ½ cups**
51+ years old 1 ½ cups**

Men 19-30 years old 2 cups**
31-50 years old 2 cups**
51+ years old 2 cups**

RUBBISH....fruits is suppose to maintain life and help healing.
