Of course. That's how Jesus can come to us where we are. People do his work, even when they think otherwise.

One day I had to travel a ways to work, when my car broke down. It over-heated,and I pulled over to let the car cool down. I had to have been there for about 25 min. (the radiator was empty, or really low because it wouldn't blow any hot air out the heater) Now, this was in January in Northern Illinois, and it was really cold out (about 7:30 am) While I was waiting, an old woman pulled up in a brand new Cadi. and offered me a ride into town. Now, I had a rusted out 1984 Cutlass Supream, I was hung over from the night before, didn't look at all sociable, alone, in the country, with not another soul around for miles. And yet this old frail, "well to do looking" woman, alone, still pulled over, and asked after my well being. She didn't know me. Had no reason to trust me, but was willing to help me out. I would like to think that is how God communicates with me ( albeit indirectly), through others in the signs of compassion, humanity, and personal courage or faith.

Aside from His written word and the spirit of truth, God often speaks through and makes use of other people in your life.
I would not rush to media songs, reports, etc. as this is much human busy work of little import, if not total distraction.
Some means of communication not always in order of importance: Bible, Holy Spirit, preaching, spiritual songs, hymns, psalms, other people, personal circumstances, answers to prayer, audible response to questions.

But of course I believe that God uses others to speak to me. He uses the radio, television, reading material--where certain words just seem to jump off the page and smack me in the head, and of course, angels.
He has used others awful lifestyles as an example of what could happen to me, if I didn't change my ways. He used all kinds of angels to bug me senseless until I gave up my old lifestyle, and went to church. He used everything, including my losing my job----to get me to go to church, and give up my naughty ways.
Now I think He's saying,............'good! One nasty habit gone, one more nasty habit to go!

I strongly believe that people are God's language...and this manifests most profoundly when they are not even aware of it. Once they become aware of it, they often lose the 'spiritual voice'.
Music is a strong voice of God. Many of my favorite bands are spiritual in nature (ie, Yes's Magnfication CD "In the Presence")
