This guys is doing a good thing for the USA and the world. He's on TV in over 100 nations. He is reaching out to everyone - christians and non-christians as well. Let's all focus on how we can be an encouragement to our family and friends. Let's us be the one to make the difference and live a life of victory. Then others will want to have what we have - a relationship with Jesus Christ.
The Message Bible Luke 6:37
"Don't pick on people, jump on their failures, criticize their faults - unless, of course, you want the same treatment.
Judge yourself first to see if you're guilty. Live what you preach. Only after you get your life cleaned up by turning from your sins and receiving pardon through repentance and faith in Jesus - you can go and help others to be saved too.
Romans 2:3 (The Message)
You didn't think, did you, that just by pointing your finger at others you would distract God from seeing all your misdoings and from coming down on you hard?

Well, if someone is on TV and teaching the word of God, they should be teaching the TRUE word of God and not adding extras like alot of the TBN ministries do. The Pentecostals are a great example of adding to scripture. I know because I attended a few Pentecostal bible studies with a friend. Joel Osteen, like Benny Hinn and some others are after one thing and it is called MONEY!
I am a born again Christian and when I witness to people I don't lie to them and tell them that they can loose their salvation if they don't work hard to keep it like some of these guys say and I don't tell people that God gives wealth if you ask for it. God likes us to be humble and to ask for unnecessary money just to have a big house and luxury is pleasuring the flesh and that is sin. Asking to have enough to live is what He will provide. Look at how some of them dress. They wear very expensive dresses and alot of jewelry when the Bible clearly tells us not to adorn ourselves with all that. Also women should not be pastors or ministers is another one. This is where Joyce Meyer and some of the other women in that club come in at. Also the fake charismatic healing by Benny Hinn and some of the others. I am not pointing fingers, but telling the truth. They need people like Paul Washer, Kent Hovin and ones like that who WILL tell the True Gospel of Jesus Christ with no strings attached.
Here is a website with more information about these ministries.

Joel Olsteen has some good messages. I liked his sermon on being grateful. Until you dig a little deeper, it would appear like he is a true Christian.

His wife made a scene on an airplane because they would not upgrade her ticket to first class for free. She screamed 'don't you know who I am, I'm Joel Olsteen's wife!'
Wives are a reflection of their husbands. This incident matters to us. We should never try to abuse authority for personal gain.

He is part of the huge "Word of Faith" movement that includes people like Rick Warren. His Biblical doctrine is not sound. It is the duty and obligation of all Christians to correct poor doctrine in our brothers and sisters. "Criticism" as you call it, is called CORRECTION in the Bible and it is a requirement.

More traditional Christians dislike his unwillingness to proclaim Christ as the only way to salvation.

I'd say he's just as full of canal water as anyone else trying to sell the ultimate credence good.

I've watched him on TV and he is good at what he does, but what I watched was him saying, if you don't have arms, be glad you have legs or if you don't have legs be glad you have arms. I think he could have done a little more in his message than that.

There are a lot of people I don't personally know who deserve come criticism. I didn't know that was a requirement.
