Hypothetically, let's say somehow we developed a nationwide mass deportation system and instantly deported 10 million illegal immigrans (and their children). What would be the positive and negative effects of the deportation?

Serious answers only please.

The effects would only be positive. Our health & welfare system would be freed up to help the Citizens of this Country quicker, our public school systems would no longer be over crowded, we would lose over 75% of the gang bangers, our SSI would only be given to our Citizens, our food panties would have more food to give to our Citizens in need, our court systems would have far less criminals to convict, our auto insurance prices would drop, our hospital emergency rooms would no longer be primary care facilities for illegals, our public transportation would be less crowded, Our U.S. workers would get the jobs they deserve, and our Country would be less crowded.
All our Citizens would be Citizens withh legal status, we would not have to have everything in print in both English & Spanish.
And they only negative effect if any would be it will still take us years to clean up the mess the illegals created for us in the first place.
The U.S. would be a better place to live, once again we could be proud of our Country. Because the only thing I have pride in right now is our Constitution, Our flag, Our Soldiers, and our Freedom. Everything else has gone to Sh*T!

Dude do you realize what would take place in a mass deportation? it does no longer be a role carried out in 2 months. Gangs don't have 6 shooters now a days, now they have freaking AK's and grenades. have faith me there no longer giving up devoid of a lot of harmless human beings being killed. The police forces in the united statesare already as much as there necks plenty that relatively, my buddy (an unlawful) have been given arrested and released devoid of being deported, especially because of fact they had stopped worrying till it grew to become right into a extreme crime. an unquestionably conflict on drugs in the united stateswould reason havoc worse that throughout Mexico.

Positives:

1) Taxpayers would be able to payout to more important needs in society....instead of supporting them, especially if they're illegal.

2) Some people would get their job back that they may have lost previously, only because of cheaper labor.

3) It would send a message to those that attempt to cross a border somewhere illegally, that illegals are not tolerated.

4) It would lower population in the over populated areas.

Negatives:

1) Retaliations would arise and a war could erupt (God Forbid).

2) Some illegals are criminals and their homeland would resist their returning.

3) Depending on the country that is deporting them, various companies would miss "the willingness" of them that are lower wage workers and would have to find a way to outsource to meet their demands so they (companies) wouldn't go bankrupt.

4) It would make other countries think that maybe another country would not welcome anyone else at all.

5) Cost of deportation is usually only covered at, (the country that is deporting them) their own expense.

Just naming only a few ideas here....of a lot whole more pros and cons...

Seriously, I think people are suggesting crack downs, stopping making it so easy to live in and off of our system without being here legally, and assuming a lot of attrition will occur as opportunities dry up.

There would be a lot of impacts, housing costs would go down, some other costs would go up slightly, there would be a recession temporarily as the market adjusted. However, the day after they left the schools would no longer have to run on year round schedules in LA, and we could staff our schools with far fewer emergency credentialled teachers. Also, since there would only be about 1/2 as many (or fewer) ESL students, a number of programs that were cut for ESL could be reinstated, such as gifted programs, music, and languages for our own children. Gang violence would go down and the gangs would be eviscerated. Parks would be less crowded, draughts less severe. Generally, our overpopulation problems would ease.

Wages would go up and our blue collar workers would be able to support their families on their wages again. Hospitals would be less crowded and deficits in health care would be significantly reduced. (This is not the only problem in health care, but without it you would definitely see a significant improvement.)

That is hypothetical.

What do YOU think would be the effect of letting everyone stay, bring family including indigent parents, serve as a base for those who like those here now think it is no big deal to live here illegally, add 'guest workers' on top who could do the same thing, and an unlimited number of H1b visas (so long as they got a degree at the least of our colleges) and continue to fail to have physical barriers in needed spots at the border or enforcement in the interior?

Because that is a partial summary of the House 'comprehensive' bill.

The above doomsday answers are funny. Illegal aliens have only been pouring over the border enmasse for about 20 years. Before that there were less than 100,000 here. They are not the country's foundational support, they are giving themselves more credit than they deserve.

This country has conducted mass deportations before. President Eisenhower did it in 1953.

The country did not go down the tubes.

Here are the NEGATIVES:

- We will experience temporary inflation.

- Anchor children will be forced to leave the only country they know, which is the fault of their parents for not going through the immigration process so that they can stay as a family.

- Some business owners that are 100% dependent on the low wages of illegal alien labor, will be forced to close or shut down.

Here are some POSITIVES:
--------------------------
There will be vacated jobs for working class Americans.

An example of removing illegal aliens from the workforce:

The New Bedford Raid (A question and article previously posted by DAR.)

http://www.csmonitor.com/2006/0706/p09s01-coop.html

"But when federal immigration agents raided a local plant and took away 361 illegal workers, Frank didn't get up and give the speech about illegals doing work Americans won't do.

For the city's beaten-up working class, factory jobs are diamonds. After the raid, 400 people (Americans) immediately applied for the openings."
-----------------------
Traffic accidental deaths (illegal aliens are unlicensed, uninsured, and usually flee from the scene of the accident) will be drastically reduced, and the medical costs on the local community for such accidents (which are enormous) will be eradicated.

---------------------
Tuberculosis, Leprosy, and other diseases that were eradicated years before the illegal aliens swarmed over the border unchecked for disease will once again be eradicated.

http://www.rense.com/general64/ill.htm
----------------------
Our school systems will not be overcrowded, at our expense.

No Room To Learn:
http://www.fairus.org/site/DocServer/ACF444.pdf?docID=341
------------------------
Instant Crime and Murder Reduction:

- The African-American genocide by Mexican, and Central American gangs will stop, all gangmembers will be deported over the border. There are 20,000 illegal alien gang members (and growing) in California.

http://www.prisonplanet.com/articles/january2007/220107mexicangangs.htm
-----------------------
Illegal aliens threaten the U.S. medical system. No more hospital closings, because of the high cost of treating uninsured people.

Positives

1.We'd eliminate a group from that promotes World Government (I've seen a video of a counter-demonstration to a Free Ramos and Compean rally where one of them held a sign that said "no borders, no border patrol, 1 world").
2.We wouldn't have as many people speaking Spanish instead of English.
3.Our government would spend less because they would no longer pay for free emergency room care for illegals (which is not mandated in Mexico btw) or to send their children to our Public Schools.
4.School performance would theoretically increase, but it would still not make up to the gap to the performance of Home Schoolers.
5.Our Border Patrol agents wouldn't be prosecuted and jailed as political prisoners at the insistence of the Mexican Government. Ramos, Compean, and Hernandez would not be in jail, nor would any similar cases occur.

Negatives

1.Provided that tax cuts don't occur (and its unlikely because government never wants to give up money), it would cause a recession as employers such as Tyson Chicken and Farmers would be forced to hire more expensive workers. This would increase prices, primarily those of food products.
2.Provided that we don't significantly increase immigration quotas, our population is likely to slip significantly in the next century. Such a slip in population would destroy our economy.
3.There is a far more serious problem. According to UN projections, the global population will start to decline around 2050. This is a result of low birthrates in recent decades. In order for the Medicare Prescription Drug Program and other entitlements to survive, the government must double the tax revenue by 2040 while the tax base dwindles. Borrowing money is not an option because we're just about at our credit limit. Either taxes must go multiply exponentially or benefits must be cut. By eliminating illegal immigrants, we may hasten this collapse of the economy, though we can do the same by implementing the Socialized Medicine program that is popular among the Democrat presidential candidates.
4.Head Start and All Day Kindergarten would be discredited since they only benefit children who don't speak English and harm those who do speak English (kids in All Day Kindergartens that speak English score worse on tests than those in Half Day Kindergartens which shows that Public Schools destroy, not build intelligence). This would probably bring down the Public School System. The question, though, is whether this is a negative.
5.We may be hurt culturally by losing the contributions that illegals would make to our culture.
6.It is questionable on moral grounds whether it is right to prohibit somebody from moving to a country that they wish to move to.

I don't see deportations as being a "mass" thing. It could be done efficiently and effectively over a period of say 5 years and there would be nothing but benefits to the USA and this would compound from year 1 and on. The benefits would range from financial and economic to societal. Nothing but good would come from enforcing our immigration laws consistently and to the maximum. Done over a period of years, the transformation would be not felt as any negatives. I'm not saying that we have to be harsh and unfeeling to the people. If they know this is coming, many illegal immigrants could prepare for this, themselves, and many of them would deport themselves, at their own expense, and to their own benefit. Let's try it and see how it goes, okay?

It would be a temporary fix only. Again thinking and wanting to impose half a55ed initiatives isn't going to solve the real problem. We are being pushed towards war. Do the Math.

No more traffic jams -
No more filled up emergency rooms -
No more having to give extra help to the kids in school who don't speak english, (which slows down the teaching of the whole class!) -
No more illegals demonstrating and "demanding" equal rights -
And... we, as Americans, could put over 70 Billion dollars back into "our" pockets as a nation!
I have a whole list, but this should do for a start?!
