When did this become a political - and RELIGUOUS issue?

What's in it for Al Gore to spread the word about Global Warming? What's in it for Bush and the Evengelists to get us to ignore it?

Do you think it's odd that this has become a political and religious controversy? (I do.)

Of course it's an issue it has factors that may ruin the planet but it's difficult to prove or disprove.

And by the way: Yes i know gay people three guys and two girls, and one bi-sexual. Hanging out with them and talking about sexuality with them is what led me to write on that question.

Secondly, about your friends who played with dolls: Often times children do things that thoier parents told them not to because thier parent's told them not to so in-so-facto that would still be the parents fault. I admit they could be getting messages from other places like movies and tv but the fact is it's nurture not nature.

You see having a number of children and determining whether or not they would be gay would only matter if it was genetic. You may remember this from high school biology: If ther were two "carriers" of the reccesive "gay gene" they would look like this Gg and Gg. Therefore statistics show if they had four kids they would be GG, Gg, Gg, and gg. This means that your statistical chance of having a gay child would be reduced if you only had one. But then the gay population would have a hard time increasing cause two gg, recessive gay people can't reproduce. So the only way for there to be more gay people is if a lesbian couple get an artificail insemination, or the 1 in four chance of two recessive carriers. But those lesbians would probably get genes that were Gg or GG, significantly lowering thier own chances of having a gay child, to either three in four or none at all. Huh, but suprise, suprise there are lots of gay people so I guess there must be some other way they come about, or are you suggesting they just pop out of the ground?

Lastly I'm not going to report you, I'm petty but not that petty. If you want to report me for this go ahead, I hope you fing solstice in your soul but remember the Karmic boomerang. And keep your snide comments about my answers out of my questions. By the way thanks so much for your helpful info on evolution I see you know about as much about that as you do genetics. I suggest you stay out of the science category. It's obvious to see how you got a whopping 12 percent best answer.

did Falwell say it was a religious issue? probably not, he has always been involved in politics that is why he is talking about it, it has nothing to do with religion, Al Gore is in it b/c of the cold hard cash, I don't know any evangelist that is telling people to ignore it for religious reasons, it hasn't become a religious controversy, it is political and since most Americans have a political opinion, Falwell is giving his....
Sun, he can't be too stupid, he started a University, written books, been in the company of some of the greatest Americans ever, is often on TV, you may disagree with what he says but that is no reason to call someone who has done some pretty great and amazing things an idiot

Al Gore is a billionaire with cash assets of $400 million. He is the High Priest of Global warming.

Quote by Nobel Prize Winner For Physics, Ivar Giaever: “I am a skeptic…Global warming has become a new religion.”

Yes, it is odd that it is political and religious. It really should be SCIENTIFIC!

what ever a person believes Athiesm is not a cure...

the fact that HYPE exists is proof enough of Liars and criminal intent. Bush doesnt want oil to be the culprit, but the bible does that it is completely evil (i.e against God) to destroy the earth. There is one verse in the book of revelation.
i find there are two types of people that believe in Pres Bush, those that seem to be of the same secret society, which to me is completely evil, and the others who follow blindly because of the propaganda of patriotism to a Lying Cause.
when it comes to global warming I have heard the best Cause is not anything Man made but the Sun is causing global warming not only on earth but on mars and a couple other planets in our solar system.
And there is a plague in the book of revelation which is linked to the Sun, so global warming and sun spots or whatever plague it will become, WILL HURT man.
add to that plague the Lack of Wind, and you multiply the torment by thousands of percent. Even now the worst times of the year are on hot days when sleep deprivation never ends.

"What's in it for Al Gore to spread the word about Global Warming?"

Al Gore partially owns a company that is paid for carbon offsets. Not to mention hundreds of thousands of dollars in money he gets paid to make speeches on the subject in addition to all the positive publicity.

Al Gore isn't some saint that's trying to save the world. He's just an alarmist and a liar and very few people are benefiting from his "Inconvenient Con".

I can't stand George Bush but I'm glad that he's ignoring Al Gore's pseudo-religion of anthropomorphic global warming.

Jerry Falwell is an idiot.

Other than that, it's a political issue because it affects everyone. Some prioritize the people it will affect, others prioritize the money spent/lost correcting it.

Any religious point of view regarding global warming is indeed odd.

What makes something called something. somebody got here up with a acceptance for human beings and now we jointly call ourselves human beings (so a techniques as English is in touch). How are we different from different issues? we glance different, we've different genes, we've different applications, and a few might say we won the breath of life from God. What makes us human interior the eastern way of questioning? A human that conforms to the societal norms. Even the bible says you're a beast in case you provide your self as much as sin.

I do as well. What's ironic is that there is quantifiable, verifiable evidence all around us, from the poles to the equator, and yet people are willfully ignoring it or trying to alter its meaning. We've had gigantic floods, tsunamis, trees in the Arctic Circle because it's too warm, higher temperatures, heat waves, famines, droughts, and yet somehow it's 'all in God's plan.' How God created the aerosol spray and fossil-fuel burning cars is a mystery to me.

I don't listen to him but he may have meant that it will not harm Christians because they will be raptured before it really gets crazy. The bible is clear that there will be climate changes in the last days. If Jesus is going to return 2000 years after he went to heaven, you've got about 15 years to the rapture and 22 to the end of the world and return of Christ. Does that sound strange to you? I hope so...you're the person I'm trying to reach.
