I don't think there is anything that can be done. Were you a very young child when you took tetracycline? My friends son took it when very young, before his teeth came in. My friend said nothing could be done. He is now 35 and had the teeth pulled and has a bridge.
Maybe some newly discovered miracle hopefully has came about.
It's sad, but hopefully doctors don't prescribe it to children before they get their permanent teeth.
Check with a dentist.

tetracycline staining is intrinsic which means the staining is not on the surface.... it is staining from within the tooth.
At home bleaching may not help much at all. Some dentist do in office bleaching in which they first micro etch the teeth to make the bleaching solution to reach deeper inside the tooth. This may lead to semi acceptable results in people with tetracycline staining. Your results will likely not be bright white " Movie Star" teeth.
If that is the look you are going for, you will have to mask the discolored tooth structure with something that covers them up. The dentist can prepare your teeth by filing them down a small amount and placing veneers on them.... This will usually give a very good esthetic result. The veneers will likely have to be replaced every 5 to 10 years.
There are a new type of veneer that are very popular with patients today and do not require as much of the teeth to be shaved down. They are called lumineers...... look them up on google... there will be pictures and patient testamonials on their web site.
Hope this helps.......

If you keep good dental hygiene, you won't have stained teeth from smoking, coffee, or anything . I have friends who've been smoking for 4-6 years and their teeth are as white as anyone else.

The teeth are stained from within. The most conservative method is to cover them with veneers or capping them.

SOMETIMES SOME BLEACHING TECHNIQUES ARE USEFUL AND THIS IS THE FIRST CHOICE. THIS IS NOT AS EXPENSIVE, NOR AS EFFECTIVE AS PORCELAIN VENEERS.CHECK THIS OUT
