Ok I straightened my hair for 2 full years because I had really curly hair ( hate it) and now I am noticing that it is starting to looked really damaged and is falling out. Is there a way to fix it and is there any tips on straightening without using a straightener on it all the time?

Major Causes for Hair Damage
Hair comes in a variety of textures from fine to coarse. It can suffer a range of hair damage from fraying, split ends to damage caused by straightening hair with chemical agents or hair irons.
There can be hair damage due to heat from blow dryers or curling irons, hair coloring problems, or even scalp problems like over-production of oil from the sebaceous glands.

But if hair is healthy and protected from over exposure to heat and harsh chemicals, it should require nothing more than a good quality shampoo (perhaps one formulated for a specific hair type) and weekly conditioning either with a commercial product or a natural mixture like rosemary and olive oil. Problem hair is usually hair that is being damaged by either an internal or external agent that can be eliminated by a change in routine or habits.

As you know now a straightner is really harsh on your hair. There are shampoos ( sleek and smooth ) that you can use to wash your hair with then after your shower blow dry straight. This is the best way because the shampoo and condition helps with straightning it alot. Other options are chemical straightners, but you'll find there worse on your hair that the hot iron.

when i was in primary school i straightined my hair for like two years and i started to see damage in it so i started not straighting , blowdrying , using products , and that stuff and it is soo shiny ans soft now i know you may think you need to straightin it but even if you just straighten the top part of your hair cause it feels so much better now to touch nice soft shiny hair now go get a hair cut and start treating your hair well good luck

look into having a good diet

You may want to trim the ends

If it is damaged I would not recommend straighting your hair until it gets back to being healthy

Conditioning Treatments at least once every two weeks. Not hot oil, or shine treatments, but moisturizing and reconstructive.
