Depends on what he likes. You've been with him for about a year and don't know what interests him, then maybe you need to rethink what's going on. But, if I had to give you some advice on a gift, can't go wrong with a cd.

Well what are his interests? Does he like gaming? Sports? Music? Think about that and you will come up with something.

listen to him, listen to what he says, does he like white chocolate or dark, does he like gilette shaving bream or bic? what shampoo does he use, does he like soft coton tee-shirts? does he like jiummy hendrix in vinyl, what crackers does he like, computer game he has always wanted, music cd he has lost..fav colonge?....
get him a care package....according to ur budget get him a whole heap of average stuff that he said he likes or uses or has run out of... it will show him just how much u care and listen and remember to what he likes and doesnt! i did it, and it WORKS!
