Hydroxycut used to help me some, but when I quit smoking all effectivity ended; I suspect nicotine [which is a stimulant, after all] added an extra boost to the formula [and Hydroxycut+cigarettes was more effective than just smoking]. When looking for a formula that would still help, I ran across the website I linked in the sources section [they have reviews of a lot of different weight-loss products and systems]; they highly recommended Lean System 7 and while it hasn't quite packed the punch of Hydroxycut and nicotine together, I do see a difference between when I'm on them and off and it isn't just water weight. I'd say they probably make as much of a difference for me as smoking alone did.
..I sound so healthy.
I don't know anyone who has had the results seen in commercials. Having watched my body and weight fluctuate over the years, I can safely say that a lot of commercials where they have a before and after picture and claim '_____ lost 47 pounds!' can't possibly be accurate, because most of the time based on the picture there's no way they've taken off that much weight. Many pills do nothing, but ALL of the ones that help at all will work better with exercise and eating well [for fairly obvious reasons].
As a warning, Stacker 2 made my heart race like the dickens; it did not feel good. I know a few people who have had reasonable results with that brand, but I know more who had similar side effects to my experience. I'd generally suggest you avoid them, especially if you're particularly sensitive to caffeine [I can drink ten cups of coffee in a sitting with no effect, so you don't even have to be sensitive in the first place]. However, if you do have a caffeine sensitivity I would suggest you avoid diet pills in general because most have a fairly high content.
Nothing you can buy over the counter will be the magic solution, but a few things can make a little bit of a difference. I hope this helps. :)

Just depends on the diet pills, I have taken some and have had noticable results faster than when i just do diet and exercise alone. Diet pills give you an extra boose in energy, making (usually caffine is what does the trick)your work outs last longer and supresses your appetite. But the key for them to work are to combine them with a healthy diet and exercise regularly, taking them alone will not help.
As for the commercials, those results are not typical. As it states in very fine print at the bottom of the screen. If only it were that easy!

Fahrenheit for women is a great diet pill. I used that in combination of diet and exercise and lost 20 pounds in a month and a half.

I am no longer a Doctor however I do recognize there is not any riskless fast repair for a quandary that built through the years. Sure you might take vitamin tablets to scale back your urge for food, however no longer consuming is simply as hazardous as over consuming if no longer extra so. Anything that says to be a miracle healing is not anything extra the a modern-day day variant of what used to be referred to as snake oil which used to be offered out of the again of a blanketed wagon to unsuspecting saps again within the 1800's Rule of thumb "if it sounds to well to be precise then it as a rule is."
