You can get a male neutered at around 6 months, but some vets will do it as early as 3 months.
Just FYI: I would get your females spayed too. When they come into heat , other un-neutered male dogs will come from miles away to breed with the females. Plus, usually females will get to where they cycle pretty close to the same time, and it is just better for the female to be spayed unless she is intended for breeding (but she still should be spayed as soon as she is done breeding, usually after the second litter).

As young as three months is fine to neuter the male, although if you want him to look 'masculine' you might wait until 4 or 5 months. At six months most male dogs reach sexual maturity and are capable of impregnating a female - that's the same time when they start cocking their hind leg to urinate.
Neutering your male will make him less prone to roam, *may* reduce certain aggressive behaviors, and will significantly reduce or eliminate his risk of certain cancers.
Your females should also be spayed, as young as possible. Not just because male dogs can find them and mate with them, even through a chain-link fence. Spaying reduces the female's risk of ovarian, uterine, and breast cancer. It also eliminates false pregnancies and the risk of pyometria, a life-threatening infection of the uterus.
Spayed females do not come into heat and go looking for mates, will not attract strange males from all over the neighborhood (who would then fight with your neutered male, possibly), and will not damage your carpets and furniture with the bleeding they experience during heat.

The usual age to castrate/neuter (not spay, that's females) is six months, although you can do it at any age. Really your females should be spayed too because entire males are very sneaky at sniffing out a bit ch in season (just like men, lol!) and you could find yourself with unwanted puppies. There are lots of reasons for neutering both males and females, including their health, but the unwanted puppies issue is the biggest.

I like to get males fixed as young as possible to avoid negative behavior. I have checked around at different vets and 12 weeks was the earliest. Most vets in my area won't alter a pet until 6 months of age. I actually took my puppy to a vet 2 hours away to get him neutered at 12 weeks. He did great, a week later you could barely see where he had it done. I've also heard that having a male neutered early can help with housebreaking. I also agree that you should have the females fixed unless you are planning on breeding them. Dogs can get cancer and have problems much like people. Having them altered is suppose to reduce their risk for cancer. It is recommended that a female is spayed before her first cycle of going into heat.

I think about 5 to 6 months is good. I second the idea of getting your females spayed because they are going to drive you crazy when there is a male amongst them that is not able to help them out when they get their seasons.

have you ever learnt that lady canines bleed purely like human women? Are you waiting to guard that? a woman in warmth will charm to adult males from all around and might have % to run away if she has the prospect to locate a male. Are you waiting to boost mutt domestic dogs in case this happens? what's going to you do with the domestic dogs? Spayed canines stay longer and in good shape lives. there is not any good reason to no longer spay the dogs.

Spaying is the operation for female dogs, where they remove their ovaries and uterus.
Dogs are castrated, they have their testicles removed. This can be done from 5 months of age.
Please also get your female dogs spayed (also from 5 months of age), as this will save them from numerous health problems common in unspayed female dogs - especially pyometra and mammary tumours, both common, both potentially fatal.

I'd say around 3 months. The older the dog gets, the longer it will take him to heal and the more likely it is for him to get an infection. Of couse, it's best to do it as soon as possible so nothing happens while you're out of the house.

These days, vets will neuter dogs as young as 3 months old. However, vets generally like to wait until they are about 5 months.

6 months of age is the recommended age but don't be afraid to neuter him earlier or before he starts any male behavioral issues like humping and marking.
