Reviewing the history of WW1 and WW2, they have such common points:
1. an extreme unbalanced world, the war starter start the war for grabing resource and economical interest.
2. A fascist leads a zealous nation. See the Japanese army's beheavior and performance in WWII , they was zealous killing machine, eager to die in battlefield for their "Japanse Lord". Also the case happens in Hitler's third empire.
3. Extreme nationalism and religiosity was the main role in the people's mind. This is the part of the reason why a fascist can grab the chief leader of nation.Cruz the people need such a guy to rule themselves.
So um, currently it seems something is similar with the period before, the extreme nationalism and religiosity is very popular in the area of the third world, such as Iran and North Korea.
Also the oil is going to be consumed out and if wars really take place, I doubt it'll be concerned to oil. Will we human finally destory ourselves for greed?

It is is funny the you say "extreme nationalism". Not a day goes by that I don't hear someone say how great their America is.

We are in the midst of WWIII already. As we all know, the events in the world aren't getting any more peaceful. We have 41 major conflicts, whether it be civil wars or sectarian struggles of one religious sect versus another, and even nation versus nation. Weapons are more sophisticated and lethal. Alliances of nations are forming versus other nations. It's only a matter of time. Little has to do with oil. It all has to do with hatred, mistrust, and arrogance.

Yes look at what Iran is doing but im sure USA will have no trouble winning the war because they have the best military in the world esp US Marines.

World War 3 is nowhere near impossible. The world is always extremely unbalanced. We're just not always aware of where the unbalance lies.
