Especially young kids, but then I had no idea how hard life could actually be either, till I was a grown up. The funny thing is that the older we get the less whiny and dramatic we usually become even though we have more reason to complain. LOL Life's too short for complaining. L

I know you mean well but there are some here that have a pretty extensive list of problem areas in their lives that make it look like there is no hope to enjoy anything, least of all not a normal life, because their problems fill up their minds all the time without let up and solutions may not even be doable because circumstances in their lives are so out of hand a lesser person would have committed suicide long ago. For such people one negative kills ten positives; and such people have a long memory, remembering the last time they were truly happy was also right before their lives got messed up again - so they are not going to be fooled by temporary happiness because they know that the vast majority of things that happen in their lives has been both hurtful and bad - so they are just marking time for the bad to recur because like it or not it always does, even for those of us who formerly had good attitudes. Sorry if you can't accept this condition among such people as whom I have spoken - such people feel they have a cursed existence and if anything would demand your sympathy not your demands to change or criticism. And no not all of them are suffering from clinical depression, just bad luck and character flaws inherited at birth.

Oh absolutely!! it is so bad the new people in our human race cannot learn from the adults. The teenagers especially are sooo emotional, so self centered, have no since of the real world and yet it seems no matter how hard we as adults try and tell them the same mistakes are made that we made, that our parents made etc. I truly believe that is one reason, maybe the best reason the human race doesn't grow intelligently very fast because the same mistakes have to be made over and over again, we gain no ground having children. They are destine to repeat our lives or the lives of our peers. I think this should be a major challenge to the human race of every culture. Just my opinion and I have 4 children making my same mistakes everyday.

Life is so complex nowadays, not as simple as it was years ago. Today we are bombarded with depressing movies, news, etc. it's hard to be positive and have the peace of mind that most of us really need.
Sometimes people just need to be reminded to relax and enjoy what time they have here on earth.

I agree with you, seems like you can't help everybody. It is a shame to see good people fall when they didn't have to in the first place.

i completely agree. but i feel like it takes maturity ans emotional security to not let every little thing worry you. that comes with time. as teenagers, it seems that every little drama, or every little action your friends or crushes make, is the end of the world, when its just not so. but everyone goes through that phase, and when youre older like me you're glad that you grew up!
