I need someone to seriously explain to me why the excessive partying and clubbing is so interesting? Why do my peers (I'm in college) feel the need to party so much? I have to understand this cuz I just don't get it. People tell me I need to get in on the action, but nobody is telling me why. What good things (honestly good things) am I missing out on?

Telling me that it's fun is not enough. Some people think that killing people is fun. You gotta give me better than that, I'm trying to understand how you reason.

druken, drug induced fun seems more fun than it really is. you get no answer when you ask why its so fun is because there is no answer. when you are drunk, you see things differently therefore when you sober up, you still see those things through drunk eyes. sure its fun to go to a bar and have a couple drinks, its when it becomes excessive drinkiing and partying becomes a problem.
your not missing out on much. but you should go once just for the experience of it, but be the designated driver. then you have an excuse to stay sober and watch what goes on.

Most of the people have come from structured families, or at least more structured than they thought it should be, and they are away from home for the first time, so it is party time. I had a friend who, when in Europe for the first time, got drunk for the first time on Scotch. He hated the stuff, but boy he was going to choke it down. If you are not into the partying thing, consider yourself well centered. You don't need to get drunk and stupid to be a person.

u remind me of one of my friends to an extent...she won't even go to a dance/music club because "drugs circulate there" which is DUMB because the people doing drugs are not going to be doing them in the open and plenty of my friends go to that club and don't do anything except listen to music, dance, and have fun!
listen, if you go with a group of friends to a dance club, drink in moderation, dance, and have some fun, it IS fun...just give it a try...
but DON'T get drunk or have sex with some stranger or do drugs...
you are missing out on fun
maybe if you actually tried going to a nice party, you would understand.
there are some things that can't be explained in words
you have to experience some things on your own
stop being a party pooper
soon your friends are going to move on(from you).
just try going to party
it can't hurt you
just don't do anything stupid and you should have a blast

Drinking helps release your inhibitions and relaxes you. The clubs provide the liquor (for money of course) and music to dance to. The dancing helps you express how good you'd be later after the club closes (or how bad you'd be so she could find someone else). If things go good, you could be doing the horizontal mambo later (which is very good).
Have the fun while you're still young...later you'll be too old for younger women to be interested.

that is a really weird question. all you are missing is being drunk, doing stupid things, having fun with your friends, being in awkward situations, dancing, releasing negative energy, forget about your problems, and a DUI. so nothing much. some things worth some dont. young, stupid, fun, alcohol, partying it is just college time, i guess. most of the people fund it fun and interesting, you are not one of them just do not do it. but if not in college, then when. when will you be young, crazy, attractive and wild if not during college? we live once, just live it the way you want to. do not let anybody judge you, and do not judge other people about their life stile. whatever it is, just be happy and enjoy yourself.

All that stuff is overrated, trust me, I did it all and it is nothing more than wasted time of my life. Everyone gets over it eventually, but your young have fun.

dont listen to them people that are telling you that you are missing out on something . you are not missing a thing. please dont ever try it if you havent already . drugs are addicting and they are trouble. im 37 and have been on alcohol and drugs since i was 14. real BAD.
