Well it is a popular term which is used by modern day Christians. Basically it is very simple. God created us, and gave each of us the opportunity to become His children through Jesus. Jesus came to earth to give a physical connection between the unseen Holy God and us. Because God is Holy and Pure, sin - which is the thing that separates us from God is why Jesus died on the cross and offered his life and shed his blood, so that He would be the last sacrifice offered once and for all for everyone. You decide if you believe that God is and that He sent Jesus His Son for your life and either accept His gift or not. You don't have to sign up at a church, or do anything like rituals or mantras, etc, just believe. Jesus came here to repair the breach that occured because of sin through Adam and Eve, who chose to believe the devil and messed everything up for us. You decide to give your life( which He gave you in the first place, since He created man) back to Him and allow Him to fill your heart and your soul with Him so that He can show you how to live your life daily. God is a Gentleman, He never forces Himeself on us and doesn't make us do anything, because like anyone who wants to have a good relationship, it is spending time together, getting to know the person, learning about the ways and characteristics of the person, in this case - God. It is really like being born again, our first birth is natural,we come into the world, the second birth, born again, is the spiritual which brings us into God's family, through Jesus. That is when the things that you questioned before and did not have the answers to begin to be revealed to you through the Holy Spirit. It's like when you are part of a family, you are privy to the things of the family. Hope that helps some!

I have been saved from many things.
1) I wanted to do good, but did bad things. who can save me?
2) Bad things lead to bad things(which is hell or atleast seperation from God). who will save me?

I got saved from this because of Jesus who paid the price on the cross.
Even in this world, when we do a wrong, we have to be punished or pay something in court when we are accused guilty. Sameway in bible, God says that surely there will be judgement and man cannot escape without being saved.

I know God is there truly, cause He has helped me from helplessness and myself when I called to Him.

Saved from the devil. Saved from the devil's wife Milly.

Oh Milly, what a lady, what a gorgeous lady, but now I'm saved. I've been saved from Milly.

I knelt at the Baptist preacher's altar, and said the special incantation and now I'm saved. Saved from both the devil and his wife Milly. Oh what a lady. Gorgeous.

I'm saved and I'll go to Heaven (but will I miss Milly?)

I shall cast all thoughts of Milly from my mind henceforth and forever...

You are given grace if you accept Christ as your Savior and your sins are forgiven and eternal life. If you do not seek forgiveness for your sins, you will have to pay for them yourself. Jesus gives you the chance to be saved from paying for your sins yourself. What Jesus did on the cross, every sin was nailed there with Him . All He asks of you is to believe, to seek forgiveness and to turn from sin.You choose the path you take, the path to God or the path away from God.
