Me and my husband live in a small one bedroom apartment, we have two dogs, one a lab and one a mix between a lab, rott and german shepherd. We are extremely attached to our dogs, but know that we cant keep them both and have a baby. I dont know of any one that I can give my dogs to that I would trust and dont want to give them to a pound, because I dont want them to be seperated. We are eventually going to move into a two bedroom apartment. But I am still not sure that this will be big enough to have both. Do you think that it would be okay to keep both of the dogs with the baby or what?

Why can't u keep 2 dogs and a baby in a one bedroom apartment???? we did it with 2 dogs that size and 2 cats. worked out just fine for us...and our dogs love our kids. we walk almost daily and mine have a yard to play in. if u worry about how the dogs will be with baby there are good books out there to help u in training dog for baby...I believe. and remember the first few months are stressful for everyone inculding animals. maybe you have friend that have babies who will bring the babies over to ur house...if the dogs sniff and walk away thats good... if the baby cries and the dog comes to check it out fine. dogs should not charge..nose like ya know kinda poke at. u can talk to ur vet about bring home baby talk to trainers ect. and pick up some good books on it.

i see no problem in bring home baby to dogs or cats..animals are good for kids help in avioding alergies. and good for their learning.
congrats. and i hope u keep the dogs...

yes, as long as the dogs get attention or you take them and the baby for walks. Your very wise not to take them to the shelter, they may and probably will be put to sleep and if they are luck one may get adopted. Maybe when the baby first comes home, see if a friend or family member can watch them, just so its not too overwhelming. Then introduce the dogs to the baby. Than when you move into the new place you will have your dogs and your new baby. Like one big happy family. If you love your dogs don't give them away, they will be better off with you.

Sure why not? As long as you introduce them all properly, and make sure that the dogs know that the baby's room is off limits, and that the baby belongs to you, and don't try to raise them all as siblings... Things will be fine. Don't let the dogs think that the baby needs protecting, don't allow them in any way to think that the baby is theirs. The baby is yours and much like your shoes or anything else you don't want them touching, is entirely off limits. Once the baby isn't a baby and is a kid, and can be taught to be respectful, then they can grow and play together.

nicely it relies upon on you, you ought to be certain what your existence sort is. Are you lively? do you walk alot? Any canine can cope with place of living existence in the event that they are nicely adjusted and you're dedicated to keeping there techniques and physique well being and exercised. Low Maintence canines dont exist, neither do affordable canines. great breeds tend to desire greater stimulations. in case you dont have a weight or top regulations, Older Danes and Dane X's are advantageous varieties they require in basic terms general quantities of walking, Pitts or mixs (keep in mind you ought to be a good canine handler for those varieties), Or bypass a medium much less lively breed like a Basset Hound. think of roughly going for a canine over a year old or greater, doggies tend topersistent place of living tennets NUTS. they are gaining understanding of, they are barky, they should bypass out alot, in case you bypass away them for long classes they are able to grow to be detrimental and whiny, and that they are far greater lively. An older greater adjusted canine could be greater effectual appropriate for this variety of existence. Its not real approximately what myths are available with older canines, they are able to bond with you certainly and that they are trainable. maximum come already with some preparation.
