I'm Canadian, but I did buy a jar of Vegemite after reading about it online. I didn't hate it, but I surely didn't love it either. I tried it on toasted white bread and found it was a bit salty for me. I had also heard of Marmite, but didn't take a chance on it after trying the Vegemite.

I think that Vegemite Sandwiches are kind of gross. However, the band Men At Work are awesome! They were once hailed as "The next Beatles".

I don't think it is wrong, but anything that a person wasn't raised on, or had not heard of can seem odd. And yeast extract doesn't sound like a snack you have on bread, it sounds like something you use to make buns, or bread. I know it is sold in Canada, my homecountry, but I never ate it myself. We just never had it around.

i dunno ive never had it, i have heard though that it is an acquired taste, to me it doesnt sound appetising but then again dont judge a book by its cover
