He'll walk when he's ready. Stop worrying. Children with learning problems are often taught to crawl again to get their brains working properly. So crawling isn't a bad thing. He may have figured out that he gets more attention this way, so consider him a smart little cookie.

I have a similar situation at home, my 13-month old JUST STARTED CRAWLING!!!!, just imagine that. I've been working with her since she was born, I did everything I could to get her to crawl when she was 6,7,8,9,10,...
Your son will walk, eventually. Keep working with him and one day you'll realize he's already walking, just try not to put too much thought into that.
Try to think the way he does, walking is risky and slow, crawling on the other hand can get him farther and it's safe, I think it's all about confidence and about how he's going to develop no matter what you do

Just give it time. My boys didn' t walk until they were 16 months, 18 months and 13 months. In fact my middle son just got up and started walking a week after we moved into a house with carpet and I figured it hurt his knees. And my youngest didnt crawl until 2 weeks before his first birthday then he walked a month later. He'll do it in his own sweet time. No pressure is needed. Just keep that video camera in a handy spot for a while.

Just keep doing what you're doing. My kids for a while when they first learned to walk, would still crawl because they were better at it and could get to where they wanted to faster. My kids didn't walk solely until they learned to stand up from the middle of the room (with nothing to pull themselves up on) - I think if you can help him out with that he'll start walking more. Also once he gets a little more confidence he'll do it more too.
Good luck!

faster and confidence
what i mean is as you would have noticed he can crawl a lot faster than walking and he want to keep up.
and he would be a lot more confident crawling than walking right now , as he gets more confident walking you will find him doing it more and more
lol start putting things up higher coz it doesn't sound long until he will reaching to the next level
good luck with your new adventure

Have patience, don' force him. Sometimes I think we try to prove thingsto ourselves about our children, we want them to walk at a certain time, be potty trained at a certain age, talk count, spell....some things just cannot be forced, he will walk when he is ready. My son didnt go anywhwre til 16 months, my nephew was at 11 months. That was hard because My nephew, younger than my son started walking first. But now I just wish i had more patience and didnt feel so bad that he wasnt walking sooner.

He will walk when he is ready... Until then don't push...
Each child develops at his orr her own rate.. You son willl eventually realize how many more fun and interesting things (by that I mean things he should not have) he can reach by walking... Then it will be a race to see if you notice the things and move them before he does..
Good Luck the child usually wins.

first of all...relax..believe me, there will come a time when you will sorely miss the crawling stage...just keep working with him every day...allowing him to hold onto your finger(s), while hard on your back..allows him to move those feet and feel secure at the same time...before you know it, he'll let go to reach for something more interesting...love him bunches..they grow so fast....

have you given him a walker? let ur son sit at the walker and 'walk' around by himself, by safely of course. once he get used to being 'tall' he wont feel like crawling anymore. worth a try, just borrow a walker from a fren coz you wont use it for long.

Don't push... he will walk when he's ready. If you want to speed things up though... get him around walking toddlers, he will want to walk to keep up!
