Well, let me explain:
I find girls who are so skinny their ribcab shows to be sick - its gross (to me at least). I think that your friend is better off than many others. There may be a lot of pricks out there, but there'll be someone for her.
(Also, I love it how the first two responses were girls talking for guys.)

Some guys do some guys dont the ones that would care would be self centered anyway and not commited. Most people go for looks and then wonder why they fall out of love. True beauty comes from within and is what people should look for. Some men like a woman with a few extra pounds Id rather have a few extra pounds then be under weight at all.

Well you can't use guys as a general term here. Guys can be a bit complicated sometimes. It really comes down to the guy if he likes a girl. Your friend could very well have a guy or a few guys who like her, but they might not be as good looking as she might hope for, the girl i like isn't skinny, she's actually a little overweight, but she's a really fun person, and i still find her attractive, though i myself am overweight, and honestly i'm very unattractive to her, so i'm kinda wasting my time. again it varies, it is possible. i've seen obese girls with nice boyfriends.
I'd also like to add that you should ignore all the girls talking for guys here, very rare is it that girls know what they are talking about when it comes to guys, esp. when they say things like all guys, even the sweet ones, just forget what those girls say, they're speaking for guys, when they aren't.

If she has personality that's A okay then its fine with me...
I'm a guy... an open-minded kind of guy... and heres what i have to say....I would have to say that i don't care about the weight as long as she's not a pig.... ^_^
I'm a big guy myself... slightly overweight for my height but that doesn't stop me from loving myself... if they don't like the way I look then sorry.... but if the girl i like would tell me to lose a few pounds then i'm all go!
So tell her to be herself and love herself for who she is... and im pretty sure his there waiting for her to do so...
Oh and everyone has a pair or partner in this world! and i'm pretty sure the guy who likes her is just around the corner wondering if he should go to her and tell her how he feels... ^_^

Well, I look at a woman's personality and character first. OK, actually, I look at the eyes and face first. If the woman has a pretty face, eyes and smile then the rest doesn't matter as much. I've had real skinny girlfriends and some chubby ones too. It was their personality, character, humor and honesty that attracted me to them. Beauty is only skin deep, after all. One can be pretty as a model on the outside but ugly in their soul. Tell your friend there are plenty of men that would be interested in her.

Each guy as a particular range of weight that he prefers. My youngest sister is heavy and her husband loves the Reubanesque look. I prefer someone to be in a range, for example where they're 5'4" and weigh between 145-180 or possibly more if they look voluptuous. I do not like them to be at either extreme, such as either 90 pounds or 275+ (for that height). So while some men like the skinny heroin fashion model look - it may look nice with clothes - to me in bed it has nothing to say. Each guy is different. I've had great 'plump' lovers - so I'm sure there's a few guys out there whose boat will be floated by your friend's shape.

Ah heres one I know quite well. Guys are different. The ones that automaticaly go for the skinny good looking girls mainly do it at first to show them off. They like being seen with that particular girl with them. In a way for the guy its a way of proving himself to others. Now guys like me dont care about weight. My girlfriend is twice the size of me. I love her for her personality because in the end it is THAT that makes the difference. A woman can look like a super model and have the sorriest personality and that will make them more ugly than looks could show.

Sweetie, there will be many heartbreaks throughout her life. However, there will be one and he will not care about any of that.To me,dating and getting to that point is worth it,rather than not working for it and allowing it to pass by.She needs to hold her head high, and be proud of who she is.There are females who are made curvy.Often, men prefer those women over the stick thin females anyway. She needs to work on her confidence, and as she gets older she will realise more and more that it matters not what others think of her. However, what matters is what she thinks of herself. There are women who are "curvier" that are amazingly beautiful,i myself(I am a straight female) curvy women to be very beautiful. This is what pushes females and males alike to eating disorders.Tell her not to worry about her weight, she will find the right person for her and reguardless as to what she looks like outside, she will be accepted and loved as she deserves. If they cannot look beyond the outside and get to know the beautiful girl with a great personality, then they arent worth her time anyway!Good luck hun and have a good day!
We all come in different shapes and sizes, but there is one thing we all have in common:We are all beautiful in our own specific way!

The guys that care are the ones she wouldn't want to be dating anyway, no matter what she weighed. Who wants to date someone that shallow? I can understand being turned off by her if she was unhealthy and walked around with a twinkie all the time, but it sounds like she has her act together. I'd say she needs to perk up- she'll be fine! My best friend was always about 50lbs heavier then me, but she always got more male attention because she was so outgoing and lovable that no one even noticed. Tell her to keep her chin up and ignore the idoits that are out there.

The right guy will overlook her situation. There are a lot of guys out there who like overweight girls. So tell her not to worry.

Some care... some don't... it depends on the guy... and some guys even prefer a girl with some weight to her...
I've always been a heavy girl, but I've lost a lot of weight (still heavy though, sad to say)... My fiance however gets upset when i diet or start losing weight... He prefers me heavier... (he's a bit of a boob man)
Generally heavier means, bigger boobs and nicer ***... (assuming you're under 400 lbs, of course)... remind her the plus side of being plus sized...
