Ah finally someone with a real question that has yet to be answered by anyone (expert or not). You are getting so close to asking why does existence exist. And that my friend is the question. You answer that and everything else can be answered much more readily.
I'm still at a stumbling block since I am of the non-expert type. I'm currently reading Heidegger and Hawkings. The problem with the answer is it can not be proven. Science can answer Who, What, When, Where, and How but never why because why can never be proven or disproven.
If you do find the answer or what works for you let me know.

If something is infinite it has no start and no end.
And another thing, if something is infinite, it cannot be constrained to a certain location because then it wouldn't be infinite - for what is around it it does posses.
So the first question of WHERE is completely not applicable.
The second question:
Every cause has an effect. Everything you see around you has a cause that came before that, however it is obvious that only a finite amount of causes can exist. Hence, if you trace back all the causes, one must get to a final, first cause.
That cause is G-d.
And another thing - who said G-d occupies space? Didn't He create the concept of space?
lol - you are like a fish swimming in a sea - how can there be anything outside the sea? The sea is everything! No-one has seen whats outside the sea!
Just because your mind can't comprehend it doesn't mean it is not true. Who do you think fashioned your mind?

The Christians will tell you that God didn't need to be created. Of course, they will have no REAL explaination as to why the Universe as a whole needs a cause.
