Ok, sure, you got hurt a few times, but why aren't women treating men as individuals, rather than lumping them all together and thinking its funny to castrate them? How do you expect to ever get along with men if all they hear from you is how 'bad' they are? Its not funny. Its a childish way of 'getting even'.

I agree wholeheartedly! It's stupid and very immature, with an attitude like that the only guys that will have interest in you are the ones that just want in your pants.

Absolutely true. The sterotype that "all men are dogs" is totally unfair and untrue. There are some men very worthy of that description, but there are a lot of men who are remarkably wonderful people and deserve to be recognized as such.
That said, there is a distinction to be made here. In the context of humor, sometimes some degree of verbal jousting can ok. Sometimes when people make jokes they are not making fun of the people that the joke refers to, but rather making fun of the people who are dumb enough to believe the sterotype.
Also, on more than one occasion I've seen men respond favorably to a woman talking about men in a generally negative way when it's obvious that she's kidding and doesn't really believe what she is saying. I've noticed that this is a common tactic for a woman to express power, which men often find attractive, as long as they don't feel threatened by it. That may be another reason why women do this- in a bizarre sort of way, bashing men can be a way of attracting them.

I agree it is a childish thing.
Its a retaliation tactic,and not many people can see what they are doing.
if a man cheats on a woman or a man lies and gets caught - we are quick to bash them,and continue to bash them for what ever reason because of what they did.
I cant answer or give any suggestions as to how to stop it,but I do know,that if you really care about or love the other person before you really get in too deep in the retaliation,you need to step back and realize what your doing before you loose someone that you really care about.
People are human and people make mistakes - we are not perfect,but we as people cant hold a person accountable for a mistake that they made - there judgment day comes when they are in front of god.
I think some people may act this way towards men because they want to hurt them the way that they were hurt,but its not really the right thing to do, you need to move on.

Because some people, men and women, are lazy and find it easier to lash out and generalize than to think and be honest about themselves and others. However, you are generalizing too. Everyone is not like that.
