I know I shouldn't consume less than 1400, but what if I had my breakfast, my lunch, and my dinner; and my calorie consumption was 1300 or less at the end of the day? It's not like I did it on purpose.

Yes, in most cases it is! It is generally agreed by experts that 1200 cal./day should be your bare minimum, but more if you are very large or if you engage in strenuous exercise. If you are consuming such few calories, it is important to make certain they are nutrient dense calories. Could I consume 1200 cal. in Oreos in no time, and that would be it for the day? Yes of course, but I would not be feeding my cells anything they really need. However, say I ate a few pieces of fruit, a few servings of veggies, and a serving or two of whole grain bread or cereal. I would be under 1200 cal. and my body would be happy.
Some of the longest lived cultures in the world live on the fewest calories per day. In northeast Afghanistan and the neighboring Chinese areas, people routinely live to 120 years. They consume on average 1100 cal/day, mostly in apricots, lyceum fruit, and grain.
Also, consider, that many use regular fasting as a way to detox their bodies and reap the benefits.
As long as you are indeed eating and you don't have a disorder, you should be OK. Overeating is a far bigger risk to your health than eating a nutrient dense low cal diet.

yes, its ok to do it once but if you do it consistantly there will be side effects. At first you will loose weight because your getting less energy through your food than your bodys used to so your body will look for alternative energy. Including fat, and protiens from your liver. Next if you do it repeatadly, you will slow down your metabolism, because your body is trying to conserve energy. This is dangerous because If you slow down your metabolism and start increasing your calorie intake you will gain weight. But don't worry about it if its just for one day. Also the more you exercis the more calories your body needs, so take that into consideration.
