I thought this car was supposed to make things more competitive. most of the field ended up 3 and more laps down. apparently it was impossible to make adjustments on it, and the whole back end comes apart if it contacts the wall. the handling problems in traffic should make things pretty interesting at Darlington, and the other big tracks. just stick with the regular car nascar, please.

If we all thought that yesterday's race was terrible...just wait until we get to Talladega...Nascar is gonna get a big azz bytchslap in their face for coming up with this genuis idea. I don't know what Nascar was thinking when they came up with the COT. The least they could have done was make it not uber fugly cause the car doesn't even look good.

The COT was supposed to make it more competitive for the smaller teams to be able to compete agains the big teams like Hendrick and Roush but most of the field wound up like 2 or more laps down. A lot of the teams didn't even know how to make adjustments on it.

Nascar better go back to last season's car before they piss off even more teams.

I agree with Kyle's statement about the COT not being very maneuverable. It seems like because they are so bulky it will be harder to run two and three wide at some tracks. And with the rear end coming apart so easy at Bristol I hope nascar reinforces it before they get to Daytona and Talladega where they bump draft. The idea from NASCAR is that this is supposed to make more safety for the drivers and have it be more cost effective so smaller teams can run better. The only teams I saw run well yesterday were the Gibbs, Hendrick, Childress, and Roush cars. I think Kyle is right and the only way to make the competition better is to limit the amount of spending in the sport by salary capping owners.

The COT or Car Of Now (CON), was what 1/2 to a full second SLOWER than the Busch cars?

We'll now have to watch the Saturday race to see the FAST cars!

NASCAR Fans were CON'd again, thinking NASCAR could do anything right. If anything the COT should have gone to the Busch class first to try it out and get the bugs worked out.

I just can't agree with the Busch cars now being the FASTER series!!!!!

He may or may not be right. It just doesn't seem fair to pass judgement yet. As most veteran drivers said it was too early to tell. Obviously he passed people just fine if he made it to the front of the field to win - even if he did have to work at it a little harder. By maneuverability - all he means is that he couldn't spin people out to get around them like he usually does. Either way I don't think he should have expressed his feelings so strongly in the Winner's Circle - there is a time and a place and that wasn't it - it just showed poor sportmanship and ungreatfullness.

You got to give it a few more races at least. You could say that at Bristol, it was more just getting a feel for the car. I personally think Kyle Busch, Tony Stewart, Jeff Gordon, etc. are more moping and groaning because its something new to get used to.

Give it time, and it could work. If it doesnt, NASCAR has a lot of explaining to do

I heard today they are calling these the Car of Now. Real test will be to see these ugly cars at a plate track. Bristol is a bump and bang track anyway, and with these new cars, it was a whole lot worse.
Like Tony Stewart said, they are flying bricks.
I want the old cars back. These new cars in no way shape or form resemble a "stock" car.

One of the things that I thought was an improvement is the fact that the cars drive like the stockcars of old.There are not many drivers thet can handle them,most are use to the aerodynamics and only had to use limited effort in driving( Driving is not easy and I am not suggesting it is)
but pressures did not make it easier to turn.
So no I can not agree with him.
That's all I have to say about that.

I saw one of them (COT) close up at the Atlanta race. It's going to be slower which is what Nascar is trying to do, and it's uglier for sure. I thought racing was all about going fast, nascar should have left well enough along.

I really could not tell that much of a difference in performance because they were racing at Bristol. I think you will have to wait to see how the COT runs at Dover or Richmond.

Judging from the evidence of today's race, these aren't just Busch's feelings or opinions, but instead hard facts.

So it's kind of hard not to agree with him.
