Ummm Renee, "whelping" is the term used to refer to a dog that is in the process of birthing her puppies...not a dog who is scared and needs comfort.
And yes, I love the sound of rain on the roof.

I love the sound of rain on the roof, especially when you have someone to cuddle with. Does your dog get scared, why is he whelping?

Yes, I love the rain day or night time. i have no idea why I suppose larger however I do. I love to observe or pay attention to the rain ninety nine% of the time. Unless I am riding at night time then it sucks. Rain rocks.... It's raining right here so i can probabley head to mattress quickly so i will pay attention because it hits the window sills and the avenue external.

This is very relaxing and calms me especially since I'm indoors and usually trying to sleep. I like the sound so much that I often turn off the TV or any other competing sounds so that I can hear just the rain.

Our attic's too well insulated for that, but it does sound nice on the skylights.
