Instinct is when you do something nasty, and you can't help it.
Sometimes it can even happen when you are just thinking.
One must be really careful not to let instinct mess with your head.
Oh and by the way, say "Hallelujah" to Jesus.

Instinct is a behavior "hard wired" into us without learning. Many scientists believe that true instinct is written into our DNA. In the same vein, many scientists believe that humans only have two true instincts: to brest feed (suckle) when we are babies, and for babies to smile when greeted with a smiling face. The jury seems to be out on some behaviors that may or may not be instictual (loving our childeren, taking care for infants, pattern recognition, and so on). Another popular thought on instinct is that the more cognative ability, the less insticts (this would be supported by our own limited set).

My instinct is a gut feeling. It's not logical, and it's not emotional. I don't know if an instinct can be created, but I think I have more instinct now than I did as a child.

I hope you agree that we have a soul and a spirit. Sometimes we think good things and sometimes bad things, so surely there is good and evil operating.
I have always felt that when I decide to choose what God has said I feel myself at peace, like not accusing others, making small things big with my husband, etc. But on the other hand, when I want to do things my way(selfishness) then there is no peace, all is upside down. So I have chosen to follow the instructions given by Jesus and it is leading me not to show my imediate instincts but to think about it and choose God's way.
