Any Toyota will runn longer than any Ford.
Good price and great MPG.
The Corolla is strong, the Yarus 4 door is just a smaller Corolla by looks but better MPG and cheper.

you are compairing two different class of cars. The Ford Focus is the same size as the corolla. I personally like the Focus for the overall costs but the corolla is a top choice also. It depends on what you like. Drive both, if you can rent both first. I would not buy a car with out driving it. The yaris is smaller, the jetta way to expensive to fix and not all that reliable. Japan #1 some korean #2 domestic #4 and german last on my list. Germany has had quality engineering problems for a long time. They mean well but something gets lost in the traslation to mexico where most VW's are bulit thses days. I would personally stick with Focus/Corola/Chevy Colbolt in that size. Or Ford Fusion/ Taurus/ Camry in that size vehicle. Ok less headaches, lower cost per mile operation costs.

you cant compare a fusion to a corolla, both cars are a diff class, if you want more room and a car with no resale value go wit the fusion, you want a reliable , great gas mileage car with a ok resale value go with the corolla! prius - yea hybrid it rocks, yaris ehh its ok it has no power , a vw jetta trust me dont even go that way

Go with the Jetta or Corolla. I would lean more toward Corolla. Some VW's recommend premium fuel for performance.

They are like all different size car... no doubt the Fusion will runs smoother and sits more comfortable than the corolla.
ford fusion: fuel economy, ford's poor reliability reputation, bad price depreciation. it is more expensive to buy new. it is BIG and Comfortable.
Corolla: rough ride, poor perforamance, good resale value, reliability.
Yaris: same as a Corolla, but smaller
VW: high maintanence fee, good performance, reliability is no better than the Ford. mediocre resale value.
Honestly, look at the budget first, i would recommand you to look at the 4-cyln Camry, they are like 1 of the best family sedan there is... #1 sales rate in america.

Go Japenese (Toyota) doesnt matter which one!
Fords leak! I have a Fiesta with a swimming pool, my friend has a KA with a waterfall and my dad had a Focus with a pond in the boot! Any Japenese car will last and last, they also hold their value so when you come to sell it again you will get more for a Toyota than you would for a Ford.
Hope this helps.

Yaris. The sedan 4 door is as good or better than either of these, especially the fusion. Economically, the Yaris is almost the best ever. We have a Yaris 2-door hatchback and adore it.
