Love the sinner, hate the sin.

There is a difference between someone who struggles with same sex attraction but who acknowledges the act of homosexual sex to be a sin and tries to avoid it and someone who obstinately insists on not admitting that what they are doing is a sin.

A sin can only be forgiven if the person has the humility to admit that they did something offensive to the laws of God.

Christians care about the souls of people who are in such a state of mortal sin because they know that if the person does not repent that they are guaranteed to go to Hell. This is not something that is up to the Christian, this is God's judgment.

If you cared about someone who is an alcoholic, would you tell them that they are heading for self-destruction, or would you just watch them self-destruct.

No, most Christians are loving people. Even if they don't believe that homosexuality is ok, they still love the homosexual person, just as they love an alcoholic. The ones who hate are just more vocal.

I'm a christian and I do not hate homosexuals, for one reason so many Christians out there would judge a homosexual because of their lifestyle and say things like you are not suppose to live that way because the bible says it, well don't the bible say a lot of things we shouldn't do, so someone who is homosexual can judge a straight person for their wrongs, so how can a christian hate a homosexual for going against God when everyone has done something that went against God at one point in their life, so me hating a homosexual is like hating a person who has lied, stole, or was even disobedient to a parent.

Did you take a poll or something. How do you know that MOST christians hate homosexuals. I know many christians including myself and I have never heard one say they hated any homosexuals. What I have heard and said myself is I hate the act of homosexuality. I don't hate anyone, I just do not agree with some peoples lifestyles and that is my right to feel that way. If homosexuals don't like me because I am a Christian, that's ok with me because I didn't become a Christian for them. I did it solely for myself and my desire to serve Christ

Once upon a time Southern White Christians hated blacks. Slowly but surely they are becoming extinct.

Homosexuals are the new blacks.

It's going to take a while for tolerance to happen.

When it does, it's going to pit the West against Islam, who isn't very tolerant. And ISLAM is going to have to change or face a very PC West that is intolerant of their actions.

Homosexuality has the potential to be a very interesting focal point.

It's virtually a non-crime to persecute or kill them in most Islamic nations.

When the WEST becomes ultra tolerant it won't only by the Secular but the Religious and they will join hands and be critical of any country that presecutes, denies rights or kills people because of sexual orientation.

Islamics in the WEST are going to have to face Homosexual judges, lawyers, doctors, police, fire fighters, ambulance drivers, nurses, social workers and bankers.

It's going to be quite interesting to see what happens with this confrontation.

UMMMMMMMMMMMM? Most Christians do not hate anyone, as far as I know, and the bible definately does not advocate it. Unfortunately christianity is represented by americans... Most americans are more into popular culture than their faith. If you ever met someone that ever lives the faith they claim to have you could not possibly hate them, and you would not feel liek they hate you. If you do not know someone like this then you don't know any real Christians.

it is not about being vocal... It is more about who is on the news. You don't see a lot of news stories about people who are feeding the hungry or helping families. You see people picketting abortion clinics, and gay rallies. THAT IS NEWS. Are you being manipulated... I think so. Go to a church and ask someone how they feel about being gay.

'most' is tough to calculate. I don't hate homosexuals.

I guess the folks who hate might be vocal. From a Christian perspective I think its tough to say hating anyone is justified.

I really believe just the ones who do are more vocal about it.

Most Christians fall under the denominations of Catholic, or Methodist, Lutheran etc. And most of the denominations specifically have doctrine that say do not jusdge, condemn or hate homosexuals, it is not a choice or a sin.

this finished component became particularly a diatribe encased in pretense. you need to give up convincing your self which you're by some ability stronger or morally superb suited while in comparison with people who hate gays brazenly. people who deny all medical breakthroughs and conclusions on the subject remember of being born gay are willfully ignorant. How ought to you ever recognize that being gay isn't a decision till you have been gay? So give up judging.

I would question anyone claiming to be in Christ Jesus and have hate in their hearts. We are to love the sinner & hate the sin. We have all sinned & fallen short of the Glory of God.I would not catoragize the vocal gay bashers with true Christians. We are not to judge our brothers, God will judge the content of our hearts.
