I know his full name, some physical characteristics, where he was from (NY), and that he was in jail once in PA. I've tried inmate searches but they don't show pictures. =(

well recently i have discovered this webpage to find ppl although they dont show pictures they have names addresses and places they have lived before.. and that is free but if you want more info on your father (which my search was also on my father) you can pay about 20 dollors for a more descriptive insight into his life and past experiences.. the web page is www.whitpages.com

start with his family
his high school.. he must have had a class reunion by now
every state has inmate information that is avilable through the freedom of information act.. death records etc
you can contact the police and see if he is currently serving time anywhere in your state too
librarys have tons of info.. go and talk to them and they will help you

as every situation is different,I too longed to find my father and that was a mistake ill regret forthe rest of my life ask your mom what kind of person he was when she was with him and listen closely.my dad is a drunk and a child molester my mom tried to tell me how he was so please be carefull as i finally found my dad and wished i hadnt.good luck to you i hope you have a better father than me
