Alright, I believe in a God, but I am not a believer in any of the religions that I am aware of. My own personal belief is that a higher being, a God, created all of the necessary building blocks for life, basically just a bunch of useless matter floating around in space that came together and created something very complex and astonishing, life..and watched it evolve into what it is today. I believe that you only live one life, and when you die, there is just...well nothing, you just get recycled, back into the cycle. I also believe that this creator has absolutely no control over what happens in life. If anyone is aware of any sort of religion that is at least similar to this, I would really like to know what it is called. That would be much appreciated! Thank you!

Deism. You're in good company: Thomas Jefferson, John Adams, Benjamin Franklin and many many more.

People who think a god is "necessary" in some way generally do not have an adequate understanding of science. This is called the "god of the gaps" - meaning, anything we cannot currently explain is attributed to a god. You have probably noticed that the role of this god has historically been getting smaller and smaller.

Since the god you describe is basically useless other than as a Prime Mover, you can subtract it from the equation and become an atheist. There are many of us and the numbers are growing.

Read The God Delusion for a good understanding of the arguments against any type of god.
