Yes, it is normal.. and healthy..
bonds of same sex relationships can go on throughout our lives..
I'm nearly 60 and have girl friends..
when you discover the opposite sex as more than a friend.. that is when it gets really interesting!..
:)

I think this is normal. Women have things in common with each other, that they don't with men and vice versa. I love my boyfriend, but I won't drag if around the mall for 3 hours on a Saturday looking for the perfect eyeshadow and then going to the nail salon for a mani/pedi. Just like, I won't go to a bar and watch football with him, if I can't even name the teams playing.

Single girls go out w/ their single girlfriend b/c it's safe. They go to a club/ bar together and leave together.

i think everyone likes a mix of both, i hang out with my chick friends more than my guys friends as well. its easier to relate to the same sex, but i still hang out with my guys friends too because its nice to have both to turn too and learn from. but there is nothing wrong with the sex you hang out with, friends are friends.

That has been a trend due to the fact that genders can relate to each other better with their own gender.

I'd rather hang out with the guys, they don't whine as much.
