Well one very big reason in the UK at least is the desalination of north Atlantic sea water caused by melting of the ice caps. The main result of that would be that the Gulf Stream (aka the "North Atlantic Conveyor") would slow down and stop. The gulf stream carries warm water from the Gulf of Mexico to the shores of the UK and keeps our climate temperate. If that warm water stops circulating, Britain 's climate will become much colder, more similar to Norway, or northern Canada. So global warming doesn't necessarily mean a warmer climate everywhere, at least in the short term.
Another reason is that when global warming really kicks in, large areas of Africa, Asia and South/Central America will very likely become uninhabitable desert. When that happens, countries with a cooler, more temperate climate will be swamped with immigrants and refugees from those areas. So its not only the climatic aspects you have to consider, its the social aspects as well.

In fact, greenhouse effect is good . But greenhouse effect intensifies to global warming. It must not a good news.
Global warming started in 19th century, the industrialization.
The ice cover in polar areas becomes smaller in area. Now i am going to discuss the effects of global warming in the following passages.
First of all, Global warming causes extremely weather condition where the place is already hot. It made heat waves, cold spells, floods, droughts and even typhoons and tornadoes.
Then , Drought leads to less water for daily uses. This will have great impacts on human health.
Also, Flooding may contaminate the fresh water and causes to water pollution. People may get diseases like chlorea.
In addition, Global warming may led to more frequent occurrence of diseases such as dengue fever and malaria.
Moreover, Global warming may also increase the problem of starvation in some less developed countries. Yo live in more developed countries . so you do not need to face the food shortage problem. The spiralling temperatures will change rainfall pattern. And Finlay will decrease food productivity.
Furthermore, Air pollution may scale up and contribute to the increase of respiratory illnesses.
To conclude, the global warming is in critical condition. Thus, we need to tackle the problem. The earth is into the mired. Government should encourage the people to take the buses instead of cars.

Why is it so difficult for international warming enthusiasts to comprehend that with the intention to make any sizeable distinction in warming (which has no longer been happening for 12 years now) it can be had to virtually close down ninety% of all marketplace, completely ban vehicles operating on gas and close down all besides the indisputable fact that the nuclear potential flowers, of which no longer a unmarried new one has been outfitted interior the previous 30 years. That being stated, what's so terrible if the predictions of the doomsday crowd come actual and the temperature easily does upward push all of two degree C interior the subsequent 100 years.

Global warming is Real! Everyone been taking this issue seriously, it has been in the newspaper, and T.V! Everyone probably notice the weather changes like last summer extremely hot weather, even winters are colder. There been increased in wildfires and drought, which been destroy the ecosystem, and cause more extinction of animal and plants. I hear it took about 1.5 billion dollar just to rid wildfire! And probably heard about the glacier melting and sea level has been rising because the Carbon dioxide and other gases that have been trapping the sun heat in earth's atmosphere. This problem was caused by burning fossil fuels such as coal, gas and oil and clearing forests from humans' and it our responsibility to do something about. We all have to cooperate in this world effect. Not only for ourselves but well being of our children. It not hoax, for the bush admiration and Fossil Fuel Company have been both denial and toning down climate change (global warming) so won’t seem as bad and there doing for money over well be of people as well as planet.

More global warming and you don't need to go to the beach, the sea comes to you and you are more likely to make a good meal for a polar bear than vice versa.

Yeah, global warming may be a good thing for you. But other places that have greater affects from global warming such as third world countries, where they are experiencing floods, isnt a good thing for them.
And have you seen Knut the baby polar bear! How can you eat such cute bears like him?

Right on re GWarming - it's all a big con trick. Most scientists want cash for their experiments and research, if they link this in someway to Global Warming, guess what? the gov comes up with the readies otherwise no deal. We're being ripped off with huge tax hikes etc.
As a pensioner and purely from my own selfish point of view - I really don't give a damn about GW. Last year [2006] some 5.2million Brits left UK to go and live abroad where there's lots of sunshine. Good for them. Sooner we get that kinda climate here in UK the better - palm trees in Hyde Park look good this year, etc.
I have to tell you that living in a warm sunny climate is very good for the health and well-being. When I joined the Brit Army in 1957 I got sent to Cyprus in 1960 and had two fab years down there in all that sun. I met a guy there in a bar who had been in the Brit India Civil Service. He told me there's no way he was going to move to Blighty and had got himself a house in Cyprus. Good idea.

WOW! Darwin said: only the best will suvive!
Rising oceans will bring new possibilities to buy homes over the shore. Beach, surf, Luau, more parties, less clothes.
Why not. What a hell, if this planet survived to several huge meteors, fantastic vulcanic eruptions, bush, of course, global warming is like a cold.
Lets go to Windsurf lessons and fight for waterworld trademark

Its not all warming up my friend. With melting of polar icecaps caused by global warming in the north pole it would cause the gulf strait to cool down. This gulf strait is what brings warm waters and weather our way year in year out. With this cooling down would actually cause an "ice age" in the UK over many years. So unless you want to live at the north pole your "sunshine" is rather limited.

Haha...i think we would all like a little bit more sunshine...being in the cold is horrible.
but the problem with global warming is that the ozone layer is getting thinner....so its not just the sun we will be getting...
..we will also getting the extra harmful rays due to the thin layer and also the pleasure of burning to death.
Are skin will be literally cooking as we go about our daily business... this is the reason why most people are so bothered.
