Unfortunately, the only way to heal burns is time and patience. Of course, in your situation I would seek medical attention to see what the doctor says about it. I once dropped a big pan of lasagna down the front of me as I was taking it out of the oven. Well, I went to the doctor and they gave me pain killers and said time will heal the burns. Burns do better if they are exposed to the open air.

First of all , it is very important that you visit your doctor, even if it has been a week since your burn. Hot water burns are to be taken as seriously as any other burn. Your physician can prescribe a antibiotic to prevent bacteria and infections to growth. Also I higly recomend Sylvadene ( topical cream used in 2 and 3 degree burns) Sylvadene is a sulfa antibiotic that prevents bacteria to growth. Be sure to mention your physician if you are allergic to sulfa. In the meantime be sure to take analgesics to ease the pain, and remember to visit your doctor , the more you wait to treat correctly your burn the more chances it has to cause a scar.
