Erect a tree within the home and decorate it.
Sing Christmas carols and listen to Christmas songs on the radio.
Bake cookies and other goodies.
Make wassail.
Shop for presents.
Watch Christmas specials on TV. My favorite is the animated Rankin-Bass production of _Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer_.
Have office parties.
Attend Christmas concerts. I enjoy bell choirs and performances of Handel's _Messiah_.
Visit family and attend family Christmas parties.
Gather together with family for a Christmas meal.
Send and receive Christmas cards.
Watch the kids open presents.

Many religious people attend midnight services at church.

Seriously? Ok. People put up Christmas trees decorated with cheap but overpriced ornaments. Put oodles of lights on their home and try to out do their neighbor with the lights and yard ornaments. Dress their poor doggies up like reindeer. Buy totally horrible presents for their friends & loved ones and then get offended when the person takes it back for store credit. Overeat and gain weight and then resolve to lose the weight in the coming year. Those are the practices. Jesus would be proud.

i work. it's extra money on a holiday. this eliminates the need to exhaust myself with "one-upping" another person for the best gift and i can express my gratitude and thanks by giving back (i work in an ER).
a week before the holiday, i take a short trip with my daughter and exchange gifts. i like to send Xmas cards to friends and family as a way of connecting during the holidays.

first of all i do no longer think of ninety% of the folk might have faith who he's or grew to become into, and does no longer guard what he had to declare. it is that if he got here in human type. The final God, might desire to no longer get all of the folk to take heed to him. for many of them did no longer care what he had to declare. Sorry. take care dave

It can only be called Christmas if there are tacky inflatable snowmen on people's lawns.
