The Protestants in its early years were called protestants because they protested against the changing dogmas, doctrines and traditions within the Catholic church. The early Christians who were Jewish, Romans and Greeks agreed to the teachings left by Jesus together with the teachings in the Old Testament. After so many persecutions made against them, Rome could hardly find a way to stop the spread of Christianity so, a wise decision was to establish it as the official religion of the Empire. Whatever visions he and his mother experienced to declare it, I believe it is more of a political stabilization within the colonized country that made him that decision. In 325 CE however, He saw an opportunity to really establish a purely Roman Catholic Church by stating "he wanted nothing in common with odious people. That started the Judeo-Christian relationship went divided until the Jews became outcast and turned as pauper in the occupied territory." Christianity spread all over Europe. Roman Catholic became the powerful influence in every aspect of life including world politics, economics and countries governance. They began making a lot of changes in the doctrines and interpretations of the Bible especially that of the life and nature of Jesus, crucifying and burning those who object, including keeping vital secret documents they intend not to expose or burning manuscripts that will be found contradicting their made up doctrines, declaring dogmas that cannot be disputed and promoting Pope's infallibility to any changes that he will make. I am not a Protestant and was formerly a very active Catholic but I do not agree with you when you said that it is the Protestant who are unbiblical, the truth is the opposite of what you claim. Read the real history of the religions, do not just listen to your preachers because they are just a victim of a 2500 years deception. Do not underestimate the cunning ability of the devil to deceive you.

Well...I think all of those are proven to be biblical by Protestants. There are several reasons Protestants believe that Catholicism involves many unbiblical things...such as confessing to a Priest instead of God, praying to Mary when Jesus taught to pray only to the Father, raising Mary to any sort of redemptive role, saying the Pope is infallible, the need of good works of salvation when the Bible does teach that Faith is what saves, and that walking with Jesus through faith is how good works are done. Of course, we can't really argue, because there are too many sources for both arguments...I think the point of Protestants are that we should refocus on Jesus' sacrifice; his grace on all believers should be enough for any sins.

Because they fail to realize without the Catholic Church there would be no bible.

Plus with sola scripture it makes it easier to justify your postion (no matter what position that is) as the bible is ambigous on most points (at least without understanding the historical and literal context)

Finally if they didn't make this claim then really in they did not have a defense leaving the Catholic Church.

Although they have some good theologians in protestantism it is interesting to watch them develop their own sense of tradition (because it is necessary), when prior they had said tradition wasn't needed, which was the reason they left.

To Jason above me the bible also say faith without works is dead (meaningless) and the judgement of nations will be on your actions not just your faith. Faith is what saves, but it ialso ours to lose without proper actions or with improper ones.

Also debrenee the Catholic Church IS the one that started the ecumenical movement. See Vatican II and it's documents on the Church's relationship to other Christian religions and non Christian religions. Catholics no longer have the doctrine that other people are going to hell (that is only for God to decide) even though everyone seems ready to send the Catholics there.

God hates religion! Everyone has their own way of seeking god, the Buddhist, Muslims, Catholics and even Christians.
I have seen great Protestants and great Catholics. Only when they have come to the conclusion that it's a relationship not a religion. When we waste our time taking the splinters of religions out of each other eyes… whether church five times a week, dancing in the aisle, or Hail Mary. There is still only one way! That is the blood of Jesus. Who said I am the way, the truth and the life and no man cometh unto the father except by me!!! John 14:6

The Baptists believe in spontaneous salvation. Though it may be unbiblical it is more efficient as a method of salvation. Also the Baptists allow you to sin and you are still saved. That's a better than Jesus' idea, which was not very convenient.
As for the Rupture, just be patient. Something is bound to rupture sooner or later.

Actually faith alone is biblical. Ephesians 2:8-9 is definite scripture to support that. Scripture alone, well, I'll just say this. If you don't think that the Bible is the inerrant Word of God, then well, your calling God a liar. So far as the Rapture goes, there are so many opinions on that, I can't really say much without doing research on it. And personally I really don't care, cuz I'm saved. Its not a worry for me. I'm sorry.

Hmmm...I don't know what Catholics really believe. I do know they have told me that my protestant church doesn't count for them. Funny because any church that believes in God and follows the Bible counts for Protestants.
My Bible speaks of the Rapture. (In a few places) My Bible also says Jesus died on the cross for our sins. It also says you accept God, have faith in Him, and ask forgiveness of your sins, you go to Heaven. You do not judge others, because we are all sinners and do not have the right. Only God can judge. There is NOTHING unbiblical about Protestant beliefs...everything is written in the Bible that we believe. I do not know enough about Catholic religion to know if everything they believe is written in the Bible. However, I am pretty sure, God would not say another denomination of a Christian church does not count. (I've never seen that written in the Bible either)

Catholic and Protestant COMMUNION UnBiblcal.

24 ounces of wine are required to be drunk

One glass remains on the table for the person who isn't there.

Bitter herbs to remind you of the pain Jesus felt on the cross and the tryany of man against man.

Flat bread of haste that is BROKEN and passes from man to man. Not little potato chips from a PRINGLES can!

Some meat for protein

If it weren't for the JEws keeping the tradition alive no one would remember the LAst Supper.

No one KNEELED before JEsus and got fed a cracker!

Where the heck did THAT UN BIBLICAL thing come from!

And no PRIEST every washes your feet!

Jesus didn't have a problem doing that. He could get on his knees and wash your feet!

It is our responsibility as individual followers of Christ to follow the teachings of Christ as documented in the New Testament.

Traditions can be cultural practices that are useful to guide people to Christ (whether the practices are Catholic or Protestant).

Some traditions can impede our coming to Christ. If such traditions exist, they should be dropped.

Cordially,
John

Some times Christians can loose focus on what is truly important. Christ and Him crucified and risen. In that simple statement is the entire hope of the Christian movement. Anything beyond that can bring division.
