Okay, at the dance at the beggining of the year "Billy" asked me to dance with him. I REALLY wanted to, but my ride was there so I had to go. Later in the school year, I asked him for his number, and he said no beause I blew him off at the dance. Then I explained what really happened, and he said it was okay. Then his friends said that he always brings me up in conversation. It's really weird, because he always acts like he still likes me, but I'm not sure. Help please!!!!!

He was hurt by your not dancing with him. He doesn't know if you were telling him the truth or not about your having to leave, to catch your ride.

I know you are telling the truth but I bet he thinks you are just making that up so you don't hurt his feelings.

It sounds like he likes you a lot but doesn't want to put himself out there again in case he gets hurt again.

This is terrible. You poor thing. You are just going to have to keep asking him to meet you after school or to come over to your house until he believes you.

This is almost funny it's so cute. He is REALLY upset.
You are now officially on dammage control. You have to blow in his ear, smile at him non stop. Wink at him and walk up behind him real fast and kiss him on the neck, then laugh and say, "HI!".

EVENTUALLY, he'll realize you are serious. In the meantine, he will LOVE all the attention you're giving him!
This should be fun and kind of funny. Definitely cute!

Good luck! Now, go win his trust back!

Is there another dance coming up? Next time you see him tell him you'll save the very first dance for him. He should laugh and then be a little more relaxed about the whole thing. Pride is an awful thing to get over after being stepped on. You also might try giving him your number and letting him be the man and ask you out on a date.Sounds to me like he may be the one who wants to initiate the friendship. But be friendly towards him and let him know you like him.

How did you respond when he asked you to dance? I think maybe there was an initial misunderstanding, but now he is cool with it. If he still acts like he likes you, well, there is no reason not to. You didn't do anything wrong.

Well to put it to you simply... He does like you... He is just not sure how to express it. What grade are you in anyway?
