First I must know what life is. Life is always now. Is it not? Life is not yesterday or tomorrow. Life is Being. This is the truth of life. Life can not be an accident, for I am it, and the purpose is to know this. Now there is no purpose, what to do? Now life becomes a play, now most play with a purpose but that is not really playing. The tree I climbed as a child was really climbed for the joy of climbing. Purpose leads to more purpose and accidents lead to more accidents. I was full of those two at one time and so I gave up this and that, became empty so that only joy remained and joy leads to more joy but sometimes I forget what I know,[life] so thank you for reminding me. ~ : )

It's kind of both, really. You may not have had any decision in your existence, but now that you're here...you have some control. So, the way someone lives their life should be on purpose at that point. Without purpose, or goals, what does anyone live for?
It's what you DO with what you've got that matters most.

Life is an accident until you can make since out of what has happened. Also the choices you make will determine how happy you will be. If you live by the words of Jesus Christ, chances are you will be happy. That means waiting to have sex until after marriage, never mean to lie purposefully, never steal and follow governmental rules and get an education. follow those steps and you can't go wrong

I live my life definitely on purpose. . . yet I am always open to ' accidents ' that may occur in my life and take notice of those moments as those ' accidents ' spring your mind into action of various paths to a sought out focused destination.
I live my life...I don't have my life live me...While at the same time open to the breeze (sometimes gails) of change that will create movement in any direction that is discovered to be an enlightening direction.

My life is not on purpose or by accident cause God put me on this earth for a purpose to do his will and that is for all of us in this generation.

Both. I try to be intentional, but accidents happen. Often times the outcomes I am hoping for occur as a result of the accidents.

It is no accident, you are all here for a precise reason, it can be no other way. If you are under the delusion that you are here by accident then you are the accident and you are waiting to become the accident.

My parents told me that I was an accident, the byproduct of a night of drunken sex. So I guess I really don't have a choice but to live as an accident.

I live my life because God created me for a reason, and I am in search of that reason. We were not created by accident, do not listen to the posts following this one that will tell you otherwise.

Both! I have goals and I am affected by whatever happens to float my way. I believe that circumstance is secondary to your life. What you put your will to and what you work to accomplish is what gets you places.. Example: Circumstance puts you in school. How you decide to spend your time there decides how your life will be afterwards.
