Micheal needed top equipment just to be mediocre. Now he is quickly sinking.

I agree. Mikey made a huge mistake dropping Chevy for Toyota. I think his fatal blow so far has been having 3 teams with so-so drivers and a starting manufacturer. Reutiman is O.K. but he isn't cup material. D.J. is a great driver and he has a poor car and team. And Michael's team is the worst at MWR. I think Micheal will eventually qualify for a race but it will probably be at Talladega. The one thing Micheal Waltrip better hope for is that the Car of Tommorrow balances the competition like it should. If it does and his teams are still performing poorly after a while, Toyota will say Sayanora to Michael Waltrip Racing.

I had a thought a while back. Maybe Michael Waltrip is in Nascar's version of the penalty box or jail, whatever you want to call it. When Nascar feels Michael Waltrip has paid the price for violations at Daytona, then he will make the show. No substance to this idea, but I kinda like it. Has anyone heard anything about the entire car Nascar confiscated from Daytona? Say, that's odd.

The whole team has struggled. Mikey is stuck, DJ has used up his provisionals, and none of their drivers is in the top 35.
Mikey may not have the huge resources that you think. Remember, Toyota has been putting their eggs in the NCTS where they have been very strong. Toyota had to go with Mikey's startup racing team, since they couldn't get a deal from stronger, more established teams (RCR, Evernham, Roush, etc). MW wasn't the strongest driver on the Nextel Cup, but we all do admit he's one of the most marketable.
Add that together... startup team, b-list drivers, lots of media scrutiny and a new manufacturer.. it means trouble for a couple years for Michael Waltrip and Toyota. And I'm pretty sure NAPA isn't too happy either.
It's going to be a long, uphill drive for Toyota.

I think that Toyota will get better as the season goes on but I can't say the same for Michael Waltrip. IMHO, Toyota only signed him because of his name. Michael is a well known "Sponsor Whore"...he makes damn sure to get his sponsor's name out there no matter what. Mikey is the poster boy for overexposure...he's too busy making sure that he gets his face out there instead of worrying about actually racing.
A lot of people are quick to say that the only reason why Dale Jr has made it this far is due to him riding on his father's coat-tails but at least Dale Jr has the talent to back up his success. The driver they outta be looking at for riding on someone's coattails is Michael Waltrip. He's been riding his brother Darrell Waltrip aka DW's coattails for 22 years now. He's won only 4 races in a 22 year career...and all 4 have been at restrictor plate racetracks. And one of his wins came due to Nascar calling the race off due to rain!
Toyota better wake up and smell the jet fuel...Michael Waltrip is not a great race car driver...he is not even a somewhat decent race car driver. Their gonna dump him sooner or later.

Toyota is not leaving. However, they should have chosen a racer instead of a commercial actor to lead their effort. Michael Waltrip has only won four cup races in his career, out of over 700 starts. One of those had Dale, Sr. killing himself to make sure Mikey won.
If Toyota had gotten someone like Hendrick or Childress to come on board the outcome would be a lot different. If you start with a winning team you get a winning team. If yous start with a bunch of rookies and backmarkers you get something much less than a winner.

Michael wasn't even that great in a bow tie and that is why he can't make the race in a Toyota. He will make some eventually, but don't expect great things out of Mikey ever again. He's had some moments (2xDaytona500), but only 4 victory in a 22 year career all restrictor plates when he was with DEI does not make you a great driver. I think he needs to stick to broadcasting so I can turn the sound down on him, just like his brother. He use to entertain me, but now he just annoys me. Can we say overexposure!?

That's what you get when you get greedy and see all of those $$$ signs and think your on to something. Take Kurt Busch,he was the best in the business while driving the ford sharpie car, now see where he is, now he's playing second fiddle to his brother.I'm not saying Waltrip was one of the best, but he was a descent driver. Now to answer your question , yes, eventually qualify in a toyota.

I think he will qualify for the Toyota Marathon.
But seriously He may quailify for some races in the next couple of weeks. He is a good qualifier on restrictor plate tracks.
He should be closer in getting his package together.
That's all I have to say about that.

From what i've got study the form of skyscrapers and the societies that build them, "mature" international locations frequently do not build skyscrapers. while replaced into the final time a solid, Western united states of america equipped a skyscraper? all the main these days equipped tallest homes have been built in China, India, oil prosperous Arab international locations (extremely Dubai), etc. To professionals, construction of skyscrapers is making a assertion: "seem how a lot funds I unquestionably have, seem what i can do, etc. etc." solid international locations with not something to coach have no reason to get right into a (just about literal) "dick measuring contest." Israel does not desire or ought to make this sort of assertion, so as that they gained't quickly get into the race.

Well thats his own fault for cheating. at Daytona, had he not cheated he could have made the race at California, and las Vegas, event though he finished 30th in the Daytona 500, but if you subtract the points that he was fined, right now he'd be 54 th in points with -27 points.
