a spin doctor??

a spin doctor is a band, but i am going out on a limb here to say that DJ's used to spin records...someone who was good at what they did may have coined themselves a DR.
I just checked wikipedia for what it was and its a PR person...someone who can spin a bad thing to make it good...but that definition may have changed since the phrase was coined.

Assuming that "spin" means someone who intentionally tries to amplify or change the true meaning of the subject..It would be doctor who may try to shade an illness so that the patient is not overly worried...
